I had been in the Philippines for 9 years and decided it was time to go home, and my granddaughter was getting married so it was a good time to go. I left Cebu and went to Manila, there changed planes and went to Tokyo Japan, the left there and flew to Portland Oregon, then got on a commuter plane and went to Boise Idaho, Where my son picked me up and took me home to Fruitland. It was so good to get home I almost cried. I used my son's car to go around and start doing the things i needed to do. One of the first things i did was to go visit Wal-Mart. there i had to buy some briefs and tee shirts case mine were all worn out. Visited many of my friends and got reacquainted. I hoped i could stay but my wife needed me, so i had to return to the Philippines in 3o days, so i m here now but can't wait to go back.

Nine years is a long time to be away from home! I don't think I could ever move very far from where I live (Western Ma.). Once I relocated to Colorado Springs. I just couldn't adapt. I stayed 6 mos. and was so glad to get back to New England. When I got back a friend took me out for the day just riding in the country. I never noticed how much water we have here until I went west. There's no WATER!:-) In the east there are lakes, ponds, rivers and streams every where. It must have been very exciting for you to come home for a visit. And for your family as well. Do you think you will ever move back to Idaho?

Yes we will go back to Idaho next year after my wife gets her immigrant visa. We have some other business we have to finish up first. But need to know taht Idaho has water, The Snake river starts in Eastern Idaho goes south then goes west to that side of the state, then goes north and creates the border between Idaho and Oregon, it runs through Hells Canyon, and empties into the Columbia River in Washington. We also have the Sawtooth mountains ,and plenty of lakes in the Stanley Basin. Im sure you would like it if you had time to go look. Thank you so much for your comment on my article, and for listening to me about Idaho, I am a native Californian

Hi Cox! It is always good to be with family no matter where they are. Maybe you can also one day invite them to come and visit you in PI.

Well, I am sure you enjoyed your trip to Idaho to see family and friends but also glad to get back to the Phillipines to be with your family there. Being away can be hard even if you are with loved ones, and tiring as well. Just hope you enjoyed your trip and things are going good.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your time back home in Idaho in the USA. It was wonderful that you were able to use your son's car. Wal-Mart is a supermarket with low prices so it was great you went there. I think 9 years is a long time to be away from home. Good luck with your return to the Philippines.

oh what a hectic and an exhausting trip it must have been for you. I've also been in Cebu a few years back, that was in Toledo City. Anyway, make sure that your trip's worth it. There's just no place like home.

hei old man..how are you dude..seems pretty amazing till this age how this couple is lovable to each other and Mr.Joseph can't able to to resist him to see his lovely wife just like a justmarried couple and i felt bad why i dint have a such grand father and mother...(my grand father and mother passed away before i born)....but old man if you are going outside means don't leave the grandma alone and take her with you..otherwise i will complaint grandma that you are hanging with another young girl...!!!
