Hi youless, the national song of countries will be played when gold metal or metal is or are giving to their respective athletics. The more the athletics from the same country won the championship the more familiar the songs would be familiar to me. For national anthem will be played during such glorious moment when metal is given to the super excellent athletic in the Olympic Games.
watching Olympic Games not only feeling excited when my favorite games are going on in the arenas, I learn also the melodious anthems from different countries as well It's rather disappointed that I couldn't watch the live tv as it's broadcasting during my bedtime. It's usually at about 4am local time here.
Have a nice day

Seems that you have more interest than me to watch your favorite Olympics games. I could see this from the more than willing of you to sacrifice your sleeping hours to watch your favorite competition. Certainly if you don't watch them, you have to wait for another four years, right?

Yer a few of them. And maily the american national anthem because I hear it all the time in their movies, so hollywood fans around the globe must have heard it once or twice if not more.

I am only familiar with my own countries national anthem. I did hear on Saturday whilst at the gym, the national anthem for New Zealand, I have heard America's on movies in the past, star spangled banner? is that right? We were never really taught about them when I was at school, so I don't even know the exact words. I guess it's good to hear other countries anthems.

The only time I like the National Anthem of the U.S. is during the Olympics. Do not feel bad if you can just hum it. It is the hardest and the ugliest anthem! Don't get me wrong I love America and I'm proud to be an American but that song s@cks! The prettiest I think is Canada's. It is also easy to sing! The French anthem is powerful and the English is simple yet regal. It Had to be they are singing about the Queen! These are the anthems I know within two notes. but all the others? No But I Always, always stand when Any Anthem is played.

The lyrics are fine. They speak of seeing our flag flying over a fort after a huge battle with the English in 1812. Here are the lyrics

Hi there! I am familiar with some other country's national anthems but I don't really know the lyrics... USA (I know some lyrics here), Germany (I just know the tune because the lyrics are German), England (Yes, I know some lyrics here also.)
And I think that's about it.... Or maybe i'm missing something else.. but that's all I can think of right now..
Happy mylotting ;D

What about the lyrics of USA's national anthem, are you also familiar with it? With it's melody I am very familiar, but with the lyrics, not much.

Yes, quite a few actually. But I would like to learn even more of them, I think it is cool to know a lot of them. And quite a lot of them are nice, actually, so it is nice that way too, if you ask me.
