Why Dhoni is giving chance for Rohit Sharma the chance again and again?
He is becoming a burden to the team.
In the whole series he had scored just 25 runs..
Being an young batsman, this is not the nation expect from him.
there are many others waiting for a single chance. But this guy is simply spoiling the chances given to him.
I can't understand what Dhoni is thinking on this.
Look at manoj tiwary, he displayed an allround performance(compared to Rohit) in the chance given to him.
I think Dhoni is giving more chance to Rohit and its bad for the team.
Now its time for selectors to not to pick him in the squad.
He may be talented, but not at all able to display it in international level.Even Ganguly was asked to retire when he was not doing well, so why this youngster is given so much importance even though he is displaying poor cricket..
When we check his whole international career, he is given a plenty of chance and not at all able to use the chances given to him. In his ODI career of 82 matches, he have only two centuries and average around 30. That too in these busy scoring days on international cricket. I wonder how he got the chance to play 82 ODI matches even though he has not made anything special in his career. There are many other youngsters with a lot of talent, let them get the chance..What is you opinion?

Hi venkit
Even I don't understand why he keep getting chances. .. Now it's already enough, many talented players are still waiting for their chances and now it is time for them.. I just wonder how many chances he will still get and on what basis?!
I was expecting new player instead of him in today's match.. Manoj Tiwari got the chance but not instead of Rohit!!! This youngster played well today with bowling and bowler .. So new players can surely do well at least in compare of Rohit Sharma's current form.

I was also surprised on that pick.
Every one expected rohit to be dropped and manoj to be picked on that slot.
but if Dhoni had not picked manoj today, surely he will have to face criticism, so he picked manoj in place of a bowler.
But why rohit is becoming integral part of Indian team(for Dhoni)??
Now selectors should not pick him in the squad.

There are lot of useless players. Rohit is just one of them. At least Yuvraj could have been given a chance. Probably in the next ODI he may be given chance.

I see. Few days back I heard in the news that Yuvi has been included in the ODI squad. I thought it was for Sri Lanka tour. Was I wrong? I'm not clear.

I also think that Rohit Sharma is getting a lot of chances and most probably must be given a break and most probably some others should be given chance. I think Manoj Tiwary has done good job in bowling and most probably he should be given more chances in playing matches.

Yes I completely agree with you, I thought Dhoni won't pic Rohit for 4th ODI but surprisingly he gave a chance to Rohit to prove or to regain his form but Rohit didn't do that and but these are common in cricket loosing form and regaining etc. every player in our team faced this before. For example take "VVS Laxman", "Venu Gopala Rao" he also experienced same thing, hope Rohit will prove himself if he got chance in 5th ODI but if he failed even in 5th ODI selectors should drop Rohit from the squad because he is mis using every chance of him.....

I agree that he has been given enough chances and it is time to ask him to sit out and give chances to Pujara. I think he is a talented batsmen, but he simply has not taken his chances and he is not a batsmen who can be relied on. So I think it is time to move on from him. Today, Manoj Tiwary got his chance and did reasonably well with the bat and extremely well with the ball. They should also give a chance to Pujara now by dropping Rohit.
Cheers!

Rohit Sharma had played well when India had toured Australia in 2007-08. That created a favourable impression for him, and occasionally he played some great knocks. However, his recent form is not much to write about and other players should be given chances instead of him.

even the brightest failed many times, that does not mean he is useless.he has already proved his mettle in t20 and local ipl.so he is not in a bright patch and most of all he lacks the confidence in him,so once he gets on to the form,i am sure he will be a bright star with good stroke play.its all about sticking with the players even in darkest of form.i am sure he will bounce back
