Looking into drop shipping

Hey Everyone, I have recently been trying to find work from home opportunities and have heard a bit about drop shipping. To my understanding it is a company which you choose what you would like to sell post it on a selling site and when people order you place it through the drop shipping company they invoice you and you invoice the customer. They take care of the rest. Is this true? Does anyone have any suggestions regarding drop shipping? Where is the best place to start?

Hi I registered with a dropshipping company just over a year ago. I had to pay a fee to be able to see a list of their products for sale. I then went on to list these porducts on ebay and sold none! I only had a 5% mark up on the product but found that people were selling them for cheaper than what i could but them for. I could have been unlucky in the site that I joined but I would suggest you research it completely before signing up to anything. Your understanding of waht happens is right enough. Hope this helps.
