I know there is a place called Java but I mean Java on the internet - obviously.
Ha!
Personally, I hate it. The reason being I've been messing about all day with uninstalling and reinstalling Java and all it took was to install a previous version of it, rather than the latest.
Why? Because UserTesting.com doesn't like the latest version and the updates associated with it, that's why.
Pity I didn't know this 24 hours ago but it's OK..for now.
Sometimes, the latest version of something is crap isn't it? Especially if people like to play old games, that kind of thing. Latest versions aren't always compatible.
Grrrr!

Java is indeed an island that is part of Indonesia and right next to Bali, but I hear that the people there are quite rude.
As for the online one I have not had anything to do with it apart from getting notice from time to time that it needs updating. When I used to spend time on traffic exchanges a few years back, I know it was a topic of some interest to people that surfed regularly as Java would affect the way that pages loaded.

Yep, Bali is almost another state of Australia there are so many Aussies there all the time. It is the number one overseas destination for young drunken Aussies to go to for a party holiday.
It looks pretty nice, but it can be very dangerous as the bombings in 2002 showed unfortunately.

I know. It was really sad, coming just over 12 months after America's 911. I will never forget it either. We were staying in a hotel as a special treat and just happened to turn on the TV in the morning to watch some of Australia's biggest touring car race and it was all over the TV. We then a year later met a guy who lost both his legs in the blast!

That was a horrible even to happen wasn't it? I remember it well. I can't understand why people have to kill other people all the time, it's never ending.

I had the same problems with Java. I kept trying to figure out what was wrong. I'm not very technologically literate :-{ so I never found out what was wrong. A friend came over and fixed it for me. He explained what he did but, well, anyway it's fixed. :-)

I'm not techno-savvy either but I just knew it was something fairly basic that was wrong in my case. I needed hubby to help me out as one person figuring it all out is no good, as it was in your case. Glad you got it all sorted in the end.

I don`t have any bad experiences with Java, but I haven`t installed the latest version. I used to install java immediatly when I played at Pogo. But now that I only work online and search for information, I don`t need A new Java.

Phew! Such a relief you don't have the latest version. Make sure it stays that way my friend, you'll have as much grief as I did if you update to the latest version, I'm sure of that.

I do know that the site I've had problems on have said they are updating their Java Screen Recorder that is necessary to do my website testing. Whether that means I shall have to use the latest version of Java (which would be ironic) I don't know.
We shall see.

Well, there's a reason java updates. With the older versions of java, the program tended to crash, get bugged, and hold numerous loops after being run for a prolonged amount of time. With over 30 billion devices using java, updates are necessary to ensure that valuable technology remains as reliable as possible.
Besides, the newer versions of java is better for programmers and scripters. If you know how to write java code, it can be very helpful for doing repetitive tasks over a long period of time. As mentioned before, Java tends to cause problems when being run for prolonged periods of time (usually 6 hours of so). That's why java needs to be updated.
