Dear friends, I am a new user of this website. since I am not a native English speaker, I have some problems with English. when I read English materials, I found a word called "forest frontier", which was used in a forestry-related book, I don't know how to understand the word. Is the word same with primary forest or not? I checked English-English dictionary, but failed to get the clear meaning. could you help me solve the problem? Thank you very much! First things first, forest frontier is not a word, it is a two word phrase. In order to understand the phrase you have to look at the two words separately to understand how they are used together. If you go to a site such as dictionary.com, or consult the Webster English language dictionary, you may be able to find explanations of the words and phrases that are confusing to you. The thing about English though, is that often some things get confused with usage. So you just have to keep reading and learning until things make sense.
