I am happy to see your interest in learning more about the Bible. I will try to answer your questions.
You state: "1. a) God is satisfied with His work. (Gen 1:31) (b)God is Dissatisfied with His work. (Gen 6:6) 2."
Is there a contradiction here? Not at all!
Genesis 1:31 is a statement after He finished his creative works. He is happy and satisfied with all the work that He accomplished. Genesis 1:31 King James Version (KJV) 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 6:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. What is God unhappy about? He is unhappy that man has become rebellious and disobedient and has filled the earth with violence.
Genesis 6:5 King James Version (KJV) 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Since man had become so bad that they were destroying the planet and each other, now He would have to do something that He took no delight in doing and that is: destroy most of the people.
Each statement was made on a different day and a different time to reflect what God saw before him.
What do you think God is saying as He sees what is being done to the earth and on the earth today? Mankind will soon get a big surprise and it won't be a happy one for most of mankind.

Let's tackle point #2!
2.
(a) God dwell in chosen temples. (2 Chron 7:12,16)
(b) God dwell not in temples. (Acts 7:48)
2 Chronicles 7:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
The temple was to worship God and make sacrifices. God could never fit in any physical location. The Bible says that he lives in heaven which a spirit location.
Notice what Solomon said earlier:
2 Chronicles 2:5-6 King James Version (KJV) 5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. 6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
I hope this helps!

hi! :)
I'm here to help you understand the most important book that is ever created. But first of all, I am encouraging you to use the KJV version of Bible. It's the most genuine version since it was the first version translated from Hebrew? (I'm not quite sure about the language of the Israelites) though old English is used in KJV but if you earnestly read the Bible, you will get used to it and understand it later on. Also, one technique in reading the Bible is knowing the context of the story. Most importantly, before reading the Bible ask for wisdom and understanding first from the author - GOD. I tell you, it will really help. :)

There are some passages in the Bible that are sometimes confusing but when you read it again and again and again.. and you're intention is really sincere in understanding it, by and by the truth will unveil itself.. :)
Just don't quit because you are having a hard time understanding it. :)

I would like to start reading the bible again and better understand it.
When i was a kid i used to read these little devotional stories they were really good, they had little situations and bible verses in them. I seen my boyfriends mom gave him one with a bible for his birthday, I was reading a little bit of it. They are called daily bread i believe. I think they are pretty good. They give you little things to focus on each day.

That is a great goal to read the Bible daily. If as you read it you come with questions, please post them here and you will find that many are willing to help and encourage you
Here are some verses that will encourage you to read the Bible daily:
Joshua 1:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalm 119:105 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 105 Your word is a lamp for my foot and light on my path.
Matthew 4:4 New International Version (NIV) 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
