Repetitive Discussions

I hope you do not take this negatively but it annoys me every time I see repetitive discussion in Mylot. I guess it is alright to create a discussion with with similar topic as long as you have an additional query or information. But when you see a discussion created by another member that already answers your own questions or states the same opinions as yours, then there is no need for you to create another one. I am getting the impression that some members do not care what they are posting as long as they are earning. So please, if it is possible, use the search engine before you start any discussion to see if there are similar ones. Thank you.

I agree with you.I frequently come across discussions on similar topics. They are generally initiated by newbies, but they attract only a poor number of responses. It is natural, because mylotters, especially the veterans on the site have already got fed up with such discussions. For example, discussions on the paranormal.I am sure there must be hundreds of discussions on the topic.I don't get annoyed, and respond to them, because I lack time to be on Mylot for as much time as I want.

Although I must say there are instances where even though the broad topic is about paranormal stuff, it can branch out to specific experiences or topics.

Spooky experiences described in an interesting way can't be said to be repeating the same topic.'How to earn money on Mylot' is certainly an oft-repeated topic.I have responded to discussions on this topic multiple times. It is the presentation that makes a discussion boring or interesting.

Thanks for posting something like this. It's tiring logging on to myLot everyday and see new discussions about how JSS Tripler works when it's so simple to look this up in the Search bar up there. I don't like repeating my answers so I just read those duplicate discussions and move on to another topic.

I know! Every day there is always a new discussion asking about how JBP works and it is starting to get into my skin. I have replied to a couple of them but still it did not stop some of the members to post a new discussion about that same topic.

I might go into the Search discussion bar again to look for discussions on "myLot Pet Peeves".

Yes, considering there are a lot of members here posting all the time there will be a lot of repeat discussions, and that is just something that happens. Many people have even discussed this here as well. But for me the Beauty of being an active member here is there are many discussions being started all the time, that you have the option of choosing what type of discussion you are interested in responding back too.

Welcome to mylot. Believe me, your post is also a repetitive discussion. There are some people who crete a discussion with a topic that has already been discussed (I only hope thst it brings out new lights on the subject) and others that repeat discussion where you can only answer: ·you are right". I did not let this "you are right discussion" pass, because I want to suggest you that you get into mylot for a longer time before critisizung it. It`s an awesome social site, if you chose well where to go. Happy posting!

Repetitive discussions are for who missed it or who is a newbie, or who aint come across such a topic ever before. Apart from this, users who have participated in such a topic are not being asked to participate and may ignore it. I like repetition because it can contribute to making my knowledge or learning permanent.

I see nothing wrong with that incident repetitive discussions. Here in mylot it's easy, if you are interested to the topic, you can respond, and if not you have the choice not to do so. That's the reason why all the topics, repetitive or not as long as the myloters want to post it, it is posted and can be seen by many so we can have many choices which to read, to respond or just ignore it. I believe there is a room for improvement for us all here, specially to a newbie like me! :)
