I've been on blogger for one almost one year. I have deep curiousity about wordpress and may be will try it later, but so far I feel comfort with blogger because it is easy to navigate and understand, you can add any kind of widget just by adding the javascript. I heard that wordpress have better position in search engine and much more SEO friendly than blogger, also it's a better safe because on blogger, it's like we only "rent". blogger can delete our blog anytime

Me too. I have been a Blogger user for 3 years. I haven't tried Wordpress ever but I would be open to learning about it. I know a few people who posted blogs on Wordpress but I wasn't too tempted to try it yet as I am contented with Blogger because it's easy to navigate.

Yeah that's true, but considering blogger is so widespread and reputable i dont think they will delete your blog unless it doesn't adhere to their term's and conditions. WordPress which is hosted on your own site cannot be deleted by anyone other than you since you need admin access to the WordPress site to delete it

This will be an interesting discussion. There will be people who are believers of one or other camp. The truth is that if you are starting a hosted blog then Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, and a wide range of options will be more than capable of supporting your blog. Thing is that many people do rapidly want more than hosted sites, they want a specific web address, such as www.myaddress.com rather than the hosted format, www.myaddress.hostname.com
If you are looking at owning you own domain name then Blogger, to my knowledge, is not capable of supporting your needs. This means the choice is between Wordpress, Typepad, or other Content Management Systems
Once you are looking at content management systems then you do have to consider things like:
* Visual style
* Themes
* Widgets
In truth there are a wide range of features available. Whether looking at hosted or your own domain name I would have to say that one of the best solutions is Wordpress. It allows so much flexibility in creating your site.
You ask about Search Engines preferences. In part it does not matter which engine you use, but it does help to use the right tools to make your keywords visible to the search engines. For example "All In One SEO" for Wordpress makes an excellent plugin and simply extends the power of your Wordpress page.
I have many pages created through Wordpress, but I also have a Blogger page and some created on other blogging hosts. The key to their success is always visibility and provision of unique content.

Which one will be preferred by search engines?
If you're going to get free-hosted (***.wordpress.com or ***.blogspot.com), there's no difference. It would all depends on your contents and stuffs.
But if you're going to get self-hosted, go for wordpress. It will allows you to install some plugins that are quite useful for SEO stuffs.

I would suggest word press. WordPress is so great because u can install millions of plugins that allow you to customize almost everything about your blog. If you know a bit of php, that can take customization even further.
I have never used blogger before though

Both are good for putting internet content, however, it really is up to you if blogger or wordpress suits your preference in terms of online posting on your desired web content.
If you go more on writing, I think wordpress personally has a good slate in their writing layout. However, Blogger also has an extent option in terms of putting multiple media contents like embedding web codes for YouTube play or Photo links etc.
