what do you think will happen.. I read somewhere that they are the most dangerous creature in the entire planet, since they carry lots of diseases which can be deadly. But they say that if any animal becomes extinct, it will do something to the balance of nature..do you thin anything bad would happen? I can't think of anything..

yes, that is true and i will agree with that, mosquito brings many diseases came from other people, when they suck blood they could get disease and will pass that to the next person they will bite,so they are one of the most dangerous who can give you unexpected diseases.

Yeah, they can be though of as used needles... which can bring deadly diseases to the next person it sucks blood from. Since getting blood from sick people will definitely make you sick too.. so we should protect ourselves from mosquitoes.

I will really be happy if those creature will get extinct, even though they are food for other creature I guess they will not harm the food chain because there are still a lot of other insects to fed with. I don't mind mosquitoes getting extinct at all.

Well, we will never know unless it really happens. Although i highly doubt it would since insects reproduce fast which is why they rarely get extinct.. it's usually mammals or birds that get extinct.. especially since some mammals take a long time to reproduce and only give birth to 1 or 2 babies..

Mosquitoes are small but deadly and even if not dangerous hurt people with their bites. I got mosquito bites all over my legs in St Lucia on the evening I arrived. The bites really itched and were ever so annoying. In Indonesia and Kenya I had to take anti malaria pills. I had to sleep under an anti mosquito net. There were malaria risks in those two countries that I have been to. I visited Colombia and the travel guide showed a map of that country. In some areas it showed malaria, yellow fever and dengue fever. In the big cities there it was safe from deadly mosquitoes. It is a shame that the dodo became extinct and other lovely animals. I wish mosquitoes to become extinct because they are dangerous insects. I wonder if it would affect the balance of nature.

Honestly, if you ask me, the most dangerous living thing in the entire planet is human beings. Yes, mosquitoes carries lots of diseases but human can cause greater devastation. Also, every living things, there is a reason for the existences. They are part of the nature's ecosystem. Their extinction will definitely affect the balances. As mentioned by others, they are food source for birds, lizards, frogs, aquatic animals etc.

Yeah, any animal that would become extinct would be harmful for the environment.. i was just blabbering about it, not really meaning it... since i know that it would also have some bad effects. I also believe that humans are more dangerous than any other animal since they have consciousness and are smarter, they can harm people if they want.

Yes you are right, but then again, they are causing more harm than good. I can't even see any importance these mosquitoes are in the environment, all they do is transfer malaria from one person to another. Soon there would be a cure for it and hopefully it would be a thing of the past. By cure I mean total eradication not ordinary treatment and then in the next 2-8 months the fever would be back

YEah, it may seem that all they do is just harm people- but we never know how much harmful it would be if they wee completely gone too. Although it'd be nice if they stop feeding on humans so we won' get sick.
