Friends are important people in our lives. They help enrich our lives in ways we can't imagine. When we are with our friends, life seems so much lighter. I want to ask you now which are some of your favorite activities that you share with your friends? Do you think having the same hobbies with your friends are the biggest factor in having good friendship with them?

hi! most of my friends do not live in the same city where i do, so meet-ups are not that frequent. but we manage to get in touch often via mobile fone and online chat, if not via skype. most of my friends are also varied... different religions, different interests, and working in different industries. sometimes, i feel like the "melting pot" of all these different people and personalities... whose only common thing in their lives... is me.
when we meet-up or get some time together, food will always be on the agenda whether we eat out or cook at home. some of my friends like to watch movies, some like to do videoke, some like to travel or do nature trips, some like some peace and quiet, some like online games and fun, and some like to have a long chat or a laugh session as a stress reliever. as for me, i do enjoy a bit of all of these.
while having the same interests can be a factor in having a good relationship between friends, by my experience... it is not the biggest factor. sharing the same principles and values in life far outweigh similarity in hobbies.
i'm fortunate to have friends from different walks of life, with different beliefs and social orientations... yet when it comes to what we value the most in life... no borders exist between muslims, catholics and christians... nor between formal gowns and casual jeans... nor between intelligent debates and streetwise card games... or even between branded and generic.
when i'm with a friend... it's not just about what we do that makes the time together special, it's also about who we spend it with. even food is more enjoyable.
my friends and i may not have the perfect relationships... but i don't recall having fought or quarreled with my close friends before... ever. hmmnnn this may sound unusual but true.

if truth be known, i used to shy away from people, dodging parties and events and i'm not that sociable really. but because of work, i learned to interact with different people, and gained different sets of friends in the process.
regardless of whose fault it was that you had a falling out with old friends before... i hope you have patched up with them.

goodluck with the hunt!
i always believe that certain people we meet... happen for a reason. sometimes they stay in our life for a brief time sometimes longer. but no matter what, friendships should be enjoyed and treasured. and yes even romantic relationships can stem from blossoming friendships. and we would be so lucky to find those who'll share our lifetime.

You seem to have lots of social skills, that is why you are able to gain lots of friends. I think sometimes that Religion and other factors are only separating factors that makes you feel further from other people. When you watch children playing, you cannot imagine them playing only with friends of the same religion or other differences. They simply enjoy playing with everyone regardless of what color or nationality or religion they are.
I had bad relationships with old friends in the past which I would rather forget, but I think it's mostly my fault. I was so stressed with many things in those times that I neglect our friendship and done some things I should have never done which lessens his respect for me. Well, past is past and lessons learned...that is what's important.

I don't hang outwith my friends anymore because we work in different places. We used to eat together and go to shopping malls, etc. I miss my friends. I hope we'll have time to meet again one of these days.

Well, with many people when they get married their families become their priority. I would have to find my own family too and marry someday.

Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing. I think oftentimes friends are people who will share similar activities that both parties enjoy or learn to enjoy. Because you love each one's company much, almost any kind of lawful activities could be enjoyed.

There are a lot of them.We have spent a lot of time with each other. We share a lot of experiences. We had been members in the same football team.Naturally we now prefer to talk about old days that are gone forever and will never return in our lives.I like talking to them about the sweet and bitter experiences that we had years ago as players of our football team and as students in the same school, the same college. In brief,I enjoy reliving my bygone days with my friends.

I can understand that, being nostalgic about the past. I think your bonding was your football team and it leaves both of you good and bad memories about them, but still it has become an exciting journey and lot's of emotions involved.

I used to have basketball friends but now that my hobby has changed into tennis, I have more tennis friends now and associate with them more. I also have chess friends because that is another sports I am involved with. Yep, hobbies could be one good connector with people and of course, with friends.

Hanging out and going out are the things that we enjoyed to do with friends.Even just hanging out in a friend's house, eating anything there and non stop conversation about things in our lives as if we just don't want the day to end.

Yes, I guess respect is what's more important than anything else and also trust. Friends can have different hobbies but still be good friends due to these 2 factors, I think.

yes, just enjoying the companionship of a friend will make even simple things special. I miss my old friends a lot because they already have their own lives to live.
