Problem in loading thumbnails from several folders in Qimage

Not for the first time I have come back from a well earned holiday with a load of images in quite a number of folders. If I want Qimage to show thumbnails I seem to have to load each folder individually. I would like to be able to give Qimage a list of folders and go away whilst it creates thumbnails for all of them at one request. Is there a way of doing this?
