Bad chocolate cake experience!

Hey there everyone! I love cake! I'm a super fan of chocolate cake especially.. Chocolate cake makes me happy.. But I'm gonna share an experience with you that happened a few years back.. New Year 2008 was celebrated in our house with our relatives.. We had lots of food to eat and a big chocolate cake baked by my aunt. Everyone was ignoring the cake because everyone was too busy or too distracted by the other foods.. So the night went on and on and the cake was still ignored.. When there's cake I usually eat some, but this time I was too distracted doing other stuff.. When the night was almost gone, our relatives decided to watch a movie in our neighbor's house (also my relative). My brother and I didn't want to watch a movie so we were just hanging around outside (the food was outside). Then while we were walking around near the food we saw that the cake was untouched.. And even though we were full we couldn't leave that beautiful chocolate cake deserted. So we got a knife and cut the CAKE INTO HALF!! Yes, we ate the whole one half of a cake!!! When we finished it, we got really sick in our tummies.. The cake was a very powerful chocolate cake! We could hardly walk.. Haha I remember I said to my brother, "I never want to eat cake again!" but of course I was just joking because right now i'm so hungry for cake. Well, after that we fell asleep and missed the fun of the night just because of that cake.. Moral of the story? Don't eat one half of a chocolate cake!! No matter how yummy it looks. LOL I want to know if you guys have had any bad cake experiences? I would like to hear your stories as well. :D

What a funny story! I've never had an experience like that, but I did have a bad one when I was baking my first chocolate cake. Grandma and Grandpa were coming out to dinner and I talked Mom into letting me make a cake. It was one of those cakes that use mayonnaise in place of eggs and I forgot the mayonnaise! It was horrible, flat as a pancake. I was so embarrassed that it was a long time before I attempted to make any kind of cake.

Hey there peavey (8305)! I never actually tried to bake my own cake... I really wanna try.. but I have a feeling that I'm gonna fail when I do try.. Haha. Mayonnaise in place of eggs? I never heard of a cake with mayonnaise.. But did your grandparents eat it though? Or did you throw it away before they saw it? :D

Couldn't you have made more of them and pile them on each other then cover it with icing so it would look like a cake? :D

A friend of mine gave me a recipe for cheesecake cupcakes once. I tried them at her house and they were great. So one day I made them and started eating them. I ate about 9 or 10 and then they started tasting like pure cream cheese. I didn't get sick but I couldn't eat them again for a looooong time.

I learned that no matter how good the food is, if you eat too much you'll get sick of it. Haha!

Sweets and sweets - Cakes and sweet mocha
My goodness! You ate half of the chocolate cake. You surely would feel sick about consuming that much sweets! Chocolate cakes are very sweet so I can't even consume more than just a slice of it. But you? You ate half of the whole? Hahaha! You should know how to practice self control. Gluttony is a sin. (Joke) But you know I can't really blame you. There are lots of people who love to eat sweets. They'd eat cake slices and drink sweet drinks with it. I wonder if they don't get diabetic with that eating preference.

I've never actually eaten myself sick doing something like this but I've come pretty close. My best friend and I in college used to do stuff like that. We regularly bought a gallon of ice cream and watched NFL football in the student lounge with a couple of spoons. We ate the whole thing during the course of the game. We did this with other desserts as well. The one that gave us trouble was the pecan pie. We cut it in half and ate it. We each finished our respective halves but those last few buts were just pride. We should've gotten really sick for our trouble but we were just uncomfortable for a few hours. Oh to be young and stupid again.
