Google taking over the world?

Let's face it, Google is a giant corporation. They recently acquired Youtube, a major video uploading website. 1.6 BILLION. How many corporations can afford to spend that much on a website? They obviously have a ton of money to throw around.
A while ago, I remember they wanted to start a completely free, wireless internet service throughout San Franciso. That would be costly, but people would love it.
Who thinks Google's taking over the world?
