I posted my laptop on a Mom Swap and Buy group the lenovo I just bought. I want to sell ti and buy a Tishiba. I paid $317 for it, and the guy offered $255 saying his budget is low. The computer is only a few months old (mid june), I was thinking of keeping this one as a backup once I get another one so in case of emergencies. As I usually dont have one then I have to scronge for one, especially for paying bills, and assignments for my courses.

I would just sell it. If you aren't using it anyway, what's the point of hanging on to it? I just sold a bra on eBay that originally I paid $20 for (Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale - woot woot), well there was WAY too much padding that I didn't need and so after ONE wear I sold it on eBay for $16. I lost 4 bucks on the ordeal, but to me, if it's not getting used, you might as well make some money on it!

Considering the fact that the computer that you are thinking about selling is used, I would not hesitate to take the offer that you've gotten on it. The reason that I would accept is is that you have used the computer and that does mean that it isn't worth as much as it was worth on the day that you bought it. In addition to that, if you are going to be getting a new computer right away, then you shouldn't have a need to have a back-up computer because they are pretty dependable these days.

I think you may have answered your own question. You should only take it if it is the right thing to do for you. The price offerred you is a fair price for a used laptop but the deal is not a bargain if it will not serve you well in the end. Search inside yourself and you will find the right answer there.

As things go that's not too bad of an offer. However there might be one willing to pay just a little more. I'd probably just keep it, but if you're going to keep it the value will depreciate if you ever do want to sale it.

If the next one you want to buy is less than $255 ok. otherwise no. why should you lose 70$ for two months. think.
I saw this link. Is this the group you are talking about:

If you don't need the money that much then just keep it until you really need it badly. And if you don't feel like selling it yet then just take your time who knows you could have a good offer in the near future, right? So just keep it.
