I mean the discussions from mylot that were in my email folder. When I started today, I had about 1278 emails in my mylot folder and I went through and looked at over 60 of those, many of which had multiple discussions in them. That isn't to say that I responded to every discussion, but I'm sure that I responded to over that many discussions in total since many of those were digests or people who started anywhere from 1 to 20 discussions that showed up in a single email. I love gmail for that! I can now start looking at the new year discussions and maybe get the total emails lower before they go much higher! I know it would be much easier if I just deleted them all, but then I wouldn't have found out some of the great things I did find out about after missing them last year. I know that some day I will be able to catch up. I just hope it doesn't take another year to do so. Have a great year!!!

I realize that there are a lot of people that will save all of the emails that they get from mylot and they use those to be able to find the discussions that they want to respond to, but I have to admit that I am not one of the people that will do that. The reason that I don't do it is because of the fact that it would simply be too much for me. Now, I really do like to save the digests and look at all of the discussions on those, but I haven't even been getting any mylot digests for over a month.

I know there is a way to sign up to get the digest notifications, I just don't remember where it is exactly. If you haven't got them for a month, does that mean they stopped sending them or did it get turned off somehow?

Wow!! It will take me forever with as many friends as I have to ever get thru the older ones, but I do try and tackle some of them when I can. There are often a lot of older ones that are irrelevant now so I tend to pass on those. But I find it is always worth it to respond back to discussions in here no matter how old they are.

I don't respond to all the old ones, but I do go to the point of looking at them. I especially pay attention to those from people I had been friends with for a while since it gives me an idea if anything has changed or if I need to get updates on anything. I may or may not spend time on this over the next month or so since I started class again last week and I have been doing other things as well (Red Cross, cross-stitch, etc.).

Congratulations! I myself am a bit behind. Not as many as what you had, but still, enough to keep me busy for quite a while. Some are dated as far back as July 2010! Like you, I don't want to delete them...at least not until after I respond to them. I hate to admit it, but I have a terrible habit when it comes to mylotting. I tend to put the majority of the ones I get in my inbox on the back burner, so to speak, while searching mylot for new ones that catch my eye. That is, when I have time to search for them. Oh, I do try to play catch up every now and then, but it never seems to lower the count any. Between that, work, family, and everything else it's no wonder I am behind. *sigh* Maybe I'll be able to catch up one day...maybe. Happy mylotting!

I wish I could say it is better. Due to health issues (cancer, blood clots in lungs, heart failure) as well as being a student I have fallen behind in the MyLot world. But I figure if I spend a little time when I am able I might be able to eventually get caught up. I just hope that my health improves so that I can keep spending some time in here each day as well as getting done everything that I try to do in "real life". Thanks for the comment!

I merely check the email notification from Mylot about new posting, cause I prefer to do it when get online. Check a new posting that the title make me interested. I only check notification about new respond or comment by others.

I have gotten to know a lot of the people on Mylot and if I only checked when I got online, I would almost never check. The only time I have gone into the site over the last several months was when I got a notification that a response from someone came in. I would miss out on a lot of information about events that happened if I depended on the online notices only. Like I said, I don't always respond to every discussion in there, but I at least see if anything interesting happened (even if it happened a long time ago) and if I want to know more about it then I respond and ask. Thanks for the comment!

More than a thousand emails???? WOW.. where have you been and not online for so long? But it's good you have read some of them, it's still nice to read them even though they were so long time ago. You still get to have some ideas and lessons from our dear lotters. So how was your health lately? Hope you're doing fine.

Although I would be online every day, I have been a student and was ofte falling behind in school so all my attention was there until I had a break for the last month or so. I have had health issues coming out my ears between the cancer treatments, blood clots in my lungs, heart failure and who knows what else might come up??? I often would not be able to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time without feeling sick so couldn't get on at all. Whenever I was able to get a few minutes I would go to the earliest emails in my MyLot folder and try catching a few up. The last two days I responded to over 100 discussions but still just a very small percentage of what was there. I think the biggest reason I like to read the old messages is it fills me in on some news of what's happening with my friends. Have a great week!!!
