Hey there everyone! So in my life so far I've been to many zoos.
My family always go to this park called Family Park. We just go there to relax and sometimes we swim on the pool there. And on the edge of that park there is a zoo. This was the first zoo I remember seeing and I never went to another zoo until long after. It's a very small zoo and we memorized all the animals in there already because we always go back. The animals there are animals that you can see in any zoo and there are no really amazing animals to look at. There is a talking bird that says 'hello' to you if you stare at him and there are some monkeys and deer and giant snakes but nothing really so amazing. But even if we already know exactly what we're going to see in that zoo, every time we go to Family Park we have to check the zoo. Haha.
I was told that when I was very young our family used to go to an inn in the mountains with a zoo. It's called Resident's Inn. I was told that it was very nice compared to the zoo in Family Park. There were bears they said. But sadly, Resident's Inn is already abandoned. It's still there but it's no longer open to visitors.
But finally. I saw a nice zoo. It was when my family went to a trip to Manila. We went on a tour and we were brought to the Manila zoo. The Manila zoo was so big, i'm not sure if I saw all of it. But there were strange creatures that I hadn't seen before. And I was very happy that I saw a tiger! The tiger was staying in a deep hole with a fence so that nobody will jump in. I was pretty disappointed about the tiger because inside the deep hole there was a cave and the tiger was just lying down on the cave the whole time! Haha.
And of course. I saw the best zoo ever, Cebu zoo. Cebu zoo isn't really nicer than the Manila zoo but you can touch the animals! So first I was amazed that there was a big crocodile being sprayed with water by a man. He said that we could touch the croc! So we went inside the crocs place and just patted it slowly avoiding it's mouth. Haha. And the crocodile wasn't the only animal that was amazing. There was a tiger also but this time it wasn't on a hole, it was in a cage and we could touch it! It was very fun that day. Another thing we saw was a 100 year old bird. It lost a lot of it's feathers but it was still alive. There was also a baby leopard that we weren't allowed to touch because it was not yet tamed. There were so many other animals and it was so fun that day.
That is all the zoos I saw. The zoos here are filled with monkeys so if I see a monkey on a zoo I just walk past it because I already know what it looks like. Haha. So have you gone to many zoos like me or have you just seen one, very amazing, full of animals zoo?

Olonam - I am glad you avoided the crocodile's mouth! Yes, we had a local zoo in my city some years ago. But I have been to the St. Louis Zoo in Missouri and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado. They are very big zoos. I saw some great animals there. It was fun. The local zoo was called the Forest Park Zoo. They had a part where you could walk inside and there were sheep and goats walking around and you could pet & feed them. Oh, and I forgot, there's another zoo close to my city. I can't remember the name of it but it's a nice zoo. They have a giraffe. I donated money a few years ago to help them buy it. It was a young one and very beautiful. They have stairs that go up to a platform next to the fence around the giraffe's area and you can buy food for him and go up the stairs to feed him. That way he doesn't have to bend way down to you. I wonder what zoos other people have been to.

I remembered last year my family went to the zoo together. It is in our capital city. I saw the real elephant and panda for the first time. The elephants are so big and tall, really amazing! And I saw giraffe too, it's about 3 meters tall.

All my life i have never been to any zoo but i always wanted to visit.I am an ardent animal lover. One of the biggest dreams of my life is to catch a glimpse of a white tiger and white peacock. May be next month I might visit zoo in my city.
Its great that you even saw a hundred year old bird, you are so lucky.
