Taboo in giving present to friends / myLot

Hi all, do you know that giving present or gift to friends also need some common knowledge. Here are some taboos: 1. never give clock - symbolize sending someone to death 2. No scissors - sever relationship 3. Green hat (especially to men) - partner have affair 4. Avoid giving present with the number 4 - the number symbolize death. Have you heard about it? Care to share more?

Hi, I never heard of about these beliefs. I don't believe on superstitions. I don't have any such belief about the gifts which is considered as taboo. I always give to my friend after checking what he likes and which gift makes him happy. Thank you for sharing some interesting beliefs. I am from Asian country(from India) but Inever come across such things.

I have never heard of any of these.But the one that use to make me laugh was people giving purses and wallets as a gift have to put a coin in it, as other wise the person who get the gift will never have any money.
