The more I can save in a month the happier I am. I have one time a month I go and shop for groceries and what ever else I need. But I wonder. Are you a saver or do you enjoy spending it? Shopping for cute outfits and buy alot of groceries. Do you like to work for it and see a large amount in your account? Or do you like to spend it and see what you have gotten with it?

One of think to prevent spending money is to buy only things that you need very urgently and say to yourself that you will buy the other things tomorrow and tomorrow never comes and when you postponed for some days you will surely will learn the trick of saving money.

I try very hard to save and thank the Gods for Paypal cause I am able to save alittle that way. I like to eat out too much so after paying my bills that is where most of the remainders goes.

I am unfortunately a spender, although not by choice. Life is hard and expensive unfortunately and after my bills are paid I have so little saving isn't even worth it! :)

I am a saver too. I am a kind of person I feel who overdoes this a bit. Sometimes I am termed miser and to be honest rightly so. I like to save money for future without any preoccupancy of any sort of expenditure. And after all I end up wasting it in some timepass stuff. I feel I need to modify myself a bit and it will prove handy. I certainly do not think it as a very ugly habit but excess of everything is bad. So the right proportion would help me I guess.

A miser? The right proportion is smart to find and stay within certain guidelines we set for ourselves.

To be honest, I prefer saving money. Yes, I do spend money, but I spend on things that I may need. If I don't need it, then I think about it, before spending. If I can save, I'm happy. However, I have to say that nowadays I'm finding it difficult to save. Things are really tight.

Spending alittle on ourselves does make for a happier time doesn't it? I do try to save but there are times that we need to spend alittle.

Saving is a good habit to get into. And just spending money are our needs is a good rule to live by.

I wish I had enough discipline to save money, but I guess I'm stuck in survival mode. I only think about the moment, so I always end up using up my money.

I prefer the balance in life, savings and spending money, must be based on sound and systematic, you should be spending money to the extent that satisfies the necessities and needs, saving money should be what might we face in the future of things we planned it and also for emergencies.
Balance ... Balance, between spending money and savings is the right solution.

There is a rule of 50%, 30%, 20%, a rule stating any individual in control of income and expenses and the amount of money is saving. For details, any individual that divides income into three sections, the first section is 50% of his monthly income, spending on the necessities of life, of expenses usual always on spending per month, routinely fixed, and the second section is 30% of the expenses are paid appointed things less essential to life, and few of them had enough, and we must rationalized, while the third and final section of 20% of the income, which is in excess of our needs and should be saved for the future

Saving money is a good habit. We were taught to save money so that, we could use those money during any unforeseen circumstance later.
For me, I do save my money well. But it is meaningless to save so much money in my bank account. After reaching certain amount in my saving account, I shall withdraw partly for investment purposes. This should be a better way to save my money.

It is smart to save for those unforseen times. Investments are a real good idea. When you get older you will be happy you did that.

I am a saver too. But it doesn't end in there. I am a saver and an investor. I don't want to be just a plain saver. Anyway, I enjoy trying to accumulate money. I really don't like spending much, but when I do I really splurge. That is why I save a lot and will reward myself with a big treat spending when I get over my goal. That is what motivates me to save up. I always like to see a handsome amount of money in my account. I just hope I can continuously and consistently pile up my account even if living is getting more and more expensive nowadays.

I used to invest alittle too. I ended up making enough that I have a good pension and quite afew bonds and stocks. I had to spend the stocks back afew years and it helped me live for nearly two years just on the stocks. Pretty good for me. And I am thankful to have my pension when I worked for the company for five years.

I save for financial freedom! Also, my goal is to amass wealth for my future family and down line next generation. Yeah, stocks can generate a good sum of money. I am into it also. i don't know, but it seems I have a passion to earn money. However, I am still not that reach yet!

I enjoy both. sometimes i makeup my mind to save without spending, then i save it, but sometimes, i want to spend it, without any reason, so do it. but after spending i feel , that i would have saved it, because sometimes i am very impulsive.

I am both a spender and a sav-er
Whenever I receive my monthly budget, I will already take from it the portion I always intend for savings. The rest is for me to budget with the bills and other necessities like groceries, etc. Anything in excess of that, after savings and after the bills is for anything that I would want to spend it on. Sometimes I only have enough, sometimes I save a lot. If I happen to still have some left over, then well and good. Cute outfits, here I come :) But if only I had enough, then that's it, no more cute outfits for me lol! I'll just have to see if I can do any better for the following month.

This is a feeling even I too have. If your bank balance is heavier, it naturally bring a happiness to your face. Not that money is the ultimate source of happiness. But atleast you can be sure that you have way to meet nost of your requirements. I do a bit of secure investments too. It would be helpful incase of some emergency situations.

Well, it often depends on what is going on for the month. Right now we are about FLAT broke, but the end of the month we usually have extra money so it usually equals out. Being able to save though when you can is a Good thing. I have been known to take even like an Extra $20 when I have it, and set it aside somewhere just to know I will have some $$ when I really need some. Putting extra aside makes you never feel broke either.

I think it is good to save money. Now a days I am trying to save money and also try to enjoy spending less than before. I think it is good to budget and also to save money. I used to spend lots of money before, but now I am trying to cut down expenses and to save some money. I do not get huge amount of money as savings after the expenses and I have some debts and loans, which I have to clear as soon as possible so that I will be debt free and hope I can save some money for it.

I have a liitle different way of saving money. As soon as I get the salary I will pay by loans and bills and will keep some money with me and remaining I will put it into a bank account( It doesnt have ATM card, Intentionally). I will try to spend only the amount which I already kept for me. Thereby I save the monet which I kept in Bank.

I know I can be a spender, I was trained by my ex to spend and have huge grocery bills. But being single I am a true saver, I empty out my pantry to the last drop to see the money collect interest and don't like to see anything wasted. If its rice with ketchup, that's what I eat and I won't buy steaks everyday anymore since I'm vegetarian so are my children :)

Sounds like you have some good ways to save. A complete turn around from being taught to have huge groceries bills. That is a good thing.

I like saving money better than spending it so I guess I am a saver. But sometimes I spend my money to buy stuff that I like but in a condition which is the amounts of money that I saved must be higher than the money that I spent, it just to make me feel less guilty after spending the money and I can save the left over lol. I just can't see my wallet suddenly become empty.
