Removed by Friends .... OUCH!

I found an application at twitter where I can find people who have removed me or unfollowed me. And it was great. I have always believed in fairness that I follow people who follow me at Twitter. Unfortunately, not unless he is a favorite actor, I also unfollow people who are not following me anymore. Anyway, the application is automatic. It gives the list of people who have already removed you. My first exposure to the application was a shock. I really thought that it was all wrong. Why? Because two of my trusted friends have seemed to removed me. I checked with the others and the application was not mistaking. They have indeed unfollowed me? Why? Maybe because I was spamming? I've thought about that. But, they also send numerous tweets and I do not complain. Why? Because I consider them as friends. I will never consider that I unfollow them. Well, I was disgusted but thought the better of it. At least, I learned that I am not really s friend for them lol Anyway, have you ever believed that you have found a friend then later realized that you have been duped? I do still believe in people.

Hi, This has happened with me too and now you are in the same boat as me! I suddenly found that a couple of friends (my classmates have removed me from Facebook!) I felt so hurt initially and I said this to some of my other friends and tried to reason out as why they would do this. But honestly I never could know why they did so. Neither did I spam them nor do I share much on my wall that they would give the excuse of seeing too much news feed from me. I am glad you got the chance to know that some are not such real friends as they claim to be. I use Tweepi to "flush" (as the word given in this application goes)people who are not following me and also to reciprocate when someone is following me at Twitter. I wonder which application you are using.

It's really easy Oindy but you can only unfollow 25 people everyday. You'll have to come back the next day if you want to unfollow more people. I was following 400 people back then and I was being followed by 200? Wow, talk about unfairness he he Welcome my friend :)

Hi, Oindy. I guess for on line writers like us this is common. But, in your case, classmates removing you, that is really nasty. I mean they know you and they would do that? Of all the people, they should be supportive. Anyway the application I'm using is justunfollow. It's web address is www.justunfollow.com Its really wonderful :)

I do not have a Twitter account but I do have Facebook. I also do not base our friendship on the basis of our interaction on social networking sites. I mean, my real and true friends are within reach through a phone call or text. Our friendship goes beyond the confines of a social networking site. I also think it is too shallow to judge the degree of my relationship with other people on Facebook or Twitter alone.

I guess it's shallow. Well, maybe I was wrong. I should not take people seriously. So, next time I know what to do :)

Yes, you are right. I have a friend outside the net that is always there for me. I have no reason to feel bad. Hey, thanks for the thoughts :)

Actually, only you can tell. I have friends in real life but we're not friends on Facebook yet they are the best among my friends in terms of moral support and being there for me when I need them. Who knows, maybe your relationship with them is even better outside it. =)

I don't really check who unfollowed or removed me from their list. If I found out that my closest friend removed me maybe I will feel the same way you do. But I will give them benefit of doubt or I will ask them why.

I should ask them why. Thanks for the thought. It's really just disheartening. Maybe I'll ask them as soon as I can. Thank you :(

My dear sis,I am so happy to see you here, hehe! Please do accept my friend request okay, hehe! Honestly,I checked if I am still following you as I might have done it unintentionally but it's a relief to see the "following" status in your two tweeter accounts, hehe! I think I know the application you are talking about as I too use it,and it's really amazing to have unfollowed those who are not following me. So far my friend,I have not experienced that. But one thing that puzzles me is one of our friends doesn't follow me back even if I already messaged him that I followed him. But still,I did not unfollow him, since he is a friend. I'm just thinking that he was not able to see and read my message.

Hello sis, good to finally found you here. Ups, you found me actually he he How I wish we can speak our own language here. Anyway, of course why wouldn't I accept your friend request? You are one of the few on line friends that I treasure here. And its OK if you don't follow 'both' he he. We are already friends in one profile and you trust me. Me? I just like to follow acquaintances because I know that they will follow me too. I am talking about old friends. I was just so hurt because I still support and visit them from time to time and they removed me just that. As if... Anyway, I'm OK now. Sis, some of us are still new to twitter. I sometimes do not know that someone sent me a direct message or a tweet. Sometimes, I accidentally check my mentions and it's been days he he... I'll have to apologize then.

With regards to mentions and messages sis,I just see it in my email notifications and if it's from a friend I know,I do look and check and sometimes reply to it,hehe! Take care sis,and hope to see you more often here.

I don't actually take that action so seriously especially if they are not real friends, what I mean is someone that I personally know. If they are personal friend and they removed me, I would really feel so hurt about it. But then what can we do if they don't like to see updates from us anymore.

I wouldn't either, but those two are real friends to me. At least, that's what I thought. Anyway, it's OK now. Forgive and forget, that's life :)

Oh that sucks! They might be annoyed with your tweets/updates... but yeah you are right about it. Just forgive and forget. If they don't wanna be your buddy there, then just leave it. =)

I rarely check who is still following me or not but incase, I noticed that one of my friend id not following me, I would immediately unfollow him or her. It is not a big deal for me if a friend remove me from the list.

Well, maybe I'm just so sensitive because these two friends of mine are really close friends. They are not just friends. We write on the same writing site back then and we support each other dearly. I am just so surprised that they forget so soon. Aw, maybe they did forgot me :(

And I don't usually check my followers at twitter. Its just that, it's really noticeable that I follow 439 people and I get 200 followers. So, what happened to the half of it? lol Well, sometimes we must demand justice :D

I do not use Twitter and to be honest people who say that they are friends, sometimes turn out not to be our friends at all. I am on face book and I will be honest and say that there are people on there that I have blocked, as I found out that they are not my true friends at all. I take it Twitter is a place where you have to comment on people and the things that they write and also that the more followers the better pay you get.

As an online writer, I use Twitter to promote. I haven't block anyone yet even in Facebook. Why? because even if you block them. If they really want to harass you, they'll only make another profile, so when you add them, you won't know that its not them. So, I just ignore people when they are annoying lol. When they post something on my timeline I just 'like' it for friendship sake. There was a friend once that tag me a very sexy photo. I didn't removed him or her (I'm not sure) as a friend but only remove my name on the tag. A few days later her FB profile was deleted.

I always check who unfollowed me on twitter. If they unfollowed me then I do the same. Good thing is that, I don't have dear and close friends who are active in twitter so, maybe that is the reason why they still following me no matter how much I tweet a day. I never complain when I receive a lots of tweets every second- that's how twitter works for those who are using twitter for marketing. Therefore, one must be aware of that. I am thankful that there's a feature wherein we can trace people who unfollowed us, that way we can also removed them from our lists.

Yes, I agree with you. It's just being fair that we unfollow them when they unfollowed us in the first place. It's just that it's really disheartening when close friends will also unfollow us. Then, again they are not really friends at all. I am so glad I found this application.

Hi there! I have that too where I can find people who have removed or unfollowed me. But this concern of mine for instagram and not twitter. But in regards to looking at unfollow/delete checkers for facebook or twitter or any use for social network, yeah I do use those to check who delete/remove/unfollow me. For certain people, I do wonder why they unfollow me or delete me. Is it because my posts or photos or status feeds are uninteresting to them? I did have some friends or acquaintances I knew from high school delete me. Still looking at those friend checkers, that's me. I do think those friend checkers are interesting to look at to check who delete, deactivate or still friend on friends list or something. This is why I hate social network aspect where people can delete or unfollow people. I have a couple of people especially cousins that have unfollowed me on Instagram. Ever since I got all hyped up about photo sharing or something, I also had unfollowers especially the cousins of mine and some friends. But I also want to hope those that have unfollowed me will follow back. I usually never unfollow a person unless necessary or unless they unfollow me or if I can sense they don't like me, then they were never cool to begin with. I'm not spamming either. I'm guessing people unfollow me because they see some photos they are not interested on looking at mines or maybe cuz i like too many of their posts...but what's wrong with liking photos and it seems anything i post is not interesting to certain people... ugh... it makes mad and depressed for having unfollowers or deleters out of nowhere especially if they know or have met me.

I haven't used instagram but it seems to be like twitter too. Anyway, it really sucks when acquaintances particularly friends and relatives unfollow you. Like you said, you are not spamming, what can the reason be? That's really puzzling even for me if that would happen to me. On line friends, yes they can do that, but old classmates or cousins? I mean, they should be happy that they see you on line. Just to have news about you. Anyway, at least you know now the good and bad acquaintances :)

Just unfollow your friend.. Not such a big deal its just twitter! Send your friend a message to let him/her know how it makes you feel that he/she is not following you. I use that application too!

No, I wouldn't do that. They will only think that I really felt bad. Hey, if they didn't feel guilty removing me, then I should show them that it didn't really mattered to me (not really). My point is, I just want the issue to die and move on. Maybe I was just so sad yesterday I had to post this topic. But, I'm OK now :)
