I strongly believe micheal phelps is the greatest and strongest swimmer/olympian of all time.no one can surpass his record of 22 medals consisting of 18 gold medals for a long time to come.he has achieved his goals and now has decided its time to quit the game and move on.i believe that he developed this talent just because he was suffering from ADHD disease in his childhood and now he has done his country and parents proud

I agree with you! Michael Phelps is the greatest Olympian of all time! The greatest and strongest swimmer in the Olympics and for the USA ever! I don't think we will see another swimmer like Michael again! His mom Debbie wishs he would continue but Michael knows it time to retire! He ended on top and that is a great way to leave the sport! He just didn't make his family proud but the USA,too!

I do not like this all time greatest Olympian kind of tags as this depends on each individuals definition of greatness. For example, I just was seeing a program about a Canadian who is participating in his 10th Olympics!! Imagine playing 40 years in Olympics that is awesome. But, of course, one thing on which there is no argument is that Phelps is the most successful Olympian of all time with 18 gold medals and a total of 22 medals which is simply awesome. Cheers! Ram
