Another golden medal at the Olympics

I am so proud. My country just achieved another golden medal in gymnastics. although the athletes in my country don't have the best conditions to train and they get poor sponsorships, they always manage to come back home with many medals. This year they were not as productive as usual, comparing to the Olympics from 2008 or 2004, but we still have some amazing, skilled and dedicated players in Romania. I only wish that they would have better conditions to train. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2012/countries/romania

Congratulations to you and your nation. As far as India is concerned we are still awaiting our first gold in these games. So far we have won a silver and 2 bronzes. But the golden color is still missing. Cheers! Ram

One of our boxers have got through to the semis. So at least we are at least guaranteed another medal. What needs to be seen is what color it is now. Cheers! Ram

I'm from the U.S.A., and we have been neck and neck with China. I'm glad that Romania and some of the other countries are getting some medals because you all deserve some metals. It doesn't seem fair when two countries keep constantly winning medals all of the time.

We used to achieve more medals in the past, but unfortunately, the athletes have become less because they don't have proper conditions in here. The China keeps standing on a high level because the athletes are motivated financially and also by the communist system. In the case of our country was the same before the communists were brought down in 1989. Now our athletes don't receive the right support and we see the results

hi, pandora. Congratulations to you and your country. As for my country, no one has brought home a gold medal yet. We remain hopeful for our athletes, but, same story -- they do not have that much support. Have a nice day!

I hope your athletes will finally bring you a gold medal. It seems that you know perfectly what I am talking about the conditions and support.

I saw the woman's vault just a few hours ago by tape delay. The Romanian woman did her vaults the best of all the woman! I was disappionted by the American McKayla Maroney. She is the best in the world,or was, in the vault and she falls on her butt on the second vault! The pressure must of got to her! I didn't know the Romanian athletes don't have the best conditions to train and get poor sponsorship. That is a shame!

The American gymnast must have had a bad moment. We have to understand that there is a lot or pressure on their shoulders. No matter if they bring medals home or not, all the athletes who reach the Olympic games deserve a high respect and consideration.

I assume you are talking about the women's gymnastics vault competition. I do congratulate your country's gymnast for being good enough to get the gold when the gymnast from the U. S. A. missed her second vault; the first time she has ever missed that vault.

We have a long tradition in gymnastics. Unfortunately, our gymnasts are not receiving the right support. As I said before, the training conditions are poor and also the sponsorships are not really great. Getting gold without having the support that gymnasts from other countries have it is a real achievement. Maybe in the future the leaders of our country will figure out that the intellectuals and athletes also need to be supported not only exploited.

My country Britain is doing really well in the olympics .I'm proud of Britains men's artistic gymnastic team as their bronze medal was britains first in that since the 1912 olympic games in stockholm.Hopefully it is a sign of things to come.I don't really know much about gymnastics but i saw a youth gymnastic group perform and i was absolutely amazed.I am definitely going to find out more about gymnastics so i have more understanding of how britain are doing.Lets hope the olympics carries on this high level and that the medals are shared out quite well.

My country has achieved a golden medal today in the olympics, too! (I'm from Hungary :D). I'm so happy and proud! It's our 3rd golden medal so far this year. I was shopping at a local arts and crafts goods market at the moment, and there was a tv and a little open-air bar, too, and I just heard the happy scream, and then I saw that he won :).
