I'm 19 and I have a roommate with a one year old daughter. I love my roommate and I love her daughter to death! But is that normal? To be like living with this other family? What do you think about rooming with people with children?

Im happy for you, you have found another family our of your real family circle. Rooming eith other people with children is just ok as long as you are happy just like what you are experiencing now. You are lucky.

I think that depends on how the kid is growing. Some kids are fun to live with while there are other kids that are very naughty. If the kid is well discipline I guess I won't mind having a rommie with a kid.

As long as you are happy all living there together, it is fine. I have children and sometimes you will in the future have a child that lives with you that do not want to sleep and worse being ill. As long as this is not causing any of you misery it is fine. Having children myself, I would not have a problem with it, but people that do not like children would.

I have never a roommate with a child. But I know it is not convient to have a common with others, then you will have less place and freedom. Maybe you should learn to adapt.

When your roommate has a baby tendency is that you cannot concentrate on your studies because it is normal for babies to make noise like crying anytime. But if you can tolerate it and you also love the baby, well it is fine to live with them.

I am not really fond of living with people with kids or family; if I will be having roomies then I think I would prefer that it's just us. Don't get me wrong, I'm cool with kids and would love to have my own someday, but I just don't feel like having to live with a family. I tend to be a bit careless with my stuff, like change everywhere, my purse and wallet just lying around in my bed, my books and tablet just within reach. Too many people will mean I have to be constantly on guard lest I lose some of my stuff or put the young ones to harm.
