Did you (or do you plan to) attend your 10 or 20 year class reunion?

Are you happy that you did? A lot of my friends are coming upon 10 and 20 year class reunions, I missed my 10 year but my 20 year is next year in 2013. I had just moved and was sick due to pregnancy the year of my 10 year, so I have really been considering the 20, but I would have to make arrangements for our daughter to stay with someone for a whole weekend and then I'd have to get plane tickets.
Would you only go if you still lived locally to where you graduated or do you consider it a 'necessary' expense?

Well I have a 10 year one coming up, I'll go but it's like an open day so it's not really a proper reunion. I live locally still as well so it's no trouble for me to get there

From my point of view,if i were you, i would go to attend this class unions unhestatingly. Because you had already miss the last chance, and i believe there must be many people you really want to meet. So why not? And i believe if your daughter know you plan, she'll also support you. Actually i'm exactly in the same situation as you, i live near my alma mater. So i didn't go to the party. But now i'm regret for it. Because they're scattered at different places,it's difficult fou us to get together. So my advice is you should go and i believe you can manage you affairs well. If you can't do it on you own, you can try to ask you friends to help you. I wish everything will be right. And if you attend it, you wouldn't regret for it.

I did go to both my 10 and 20 year reunions. The 10th wasn't nearly as fun as the 20th. Also went to my 30th and 40th reunions. My 40th was loads of fun. I also work on the planning committee which makes the event all the more interesting. I plan to attend my 50th in two years. My husband and I live in the same area where we went to school and also graduated from the same high school therefore he's not totally bored.

My tenth was actually just four years ago and though I do still live in the city where I graduated from high school, I did not attend my tenth high school reunion. The main reason that we choose to not go to it is because of the fact that it was a lot more expensive than we could afford. In addition to that, most of my friends from high school that I still keep in touch with were not attending the reunion so I really didn't see any point in going.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join our 10th and 20th high school reunion because I was not in touch with them. I sort of shied away from them coz my husband wouldn't allow me to join them. But now, I find ways to join every get together that we have. Next year we will be celebrating our 25th High School Reunion and I am so excited about it.

To be, or not to be, totally depend on my personal current station.
That's if I am in a good or better situation, i will join in, if not, i wouldn't.
I think people are growing with times go, so everyone will changes. whatever.

I can not see the point of seeing people from my past, as I have not had nothing to do with them since I have left school and a lot of people that I know from my past days at school have changed for the worst.
I have been invited to loads of them over the years and have never gone and never will go.

I live a two day drive or a two hour flight away from the city where I went to school so I have lost touch with a lot of my school friends over the years since I left. (which was 1988)
I recently got back in touch with a few of my old class friends on Facebook and one of them went to a 20 year reunion at the school a couple of years back. He said it was OK, but most of the people who attended were not friends of his at school anyway so he was a bit bored by it all.
There are actually four people from my class (including me) who live in my region these days, so we should all get together and have a catch up. I have not seen any of them in over 20 years, but am friends with them all on Facebook. One only lives 10 minutes from me too, but I just have not felt like seeing her. We have talked about it a few times, but I just keep being too busy with other things I would rather do.

I haven't got the chance to attend either of the two.
I miss the chances every time it is set by the school admin.
The first Grand alumni was held last December 2011 and it's our family reunion as well.
Then the second event takes place last June 2012 but I am too busy with kids enrollment and other engagements.
I wish and hope I can make next time.

I have not attended any of my class reunions. there is a great diastance from where I live and where I graduated high school. I would love the oppoortumity to see old classmates again but I don't think i could handle the expense of the trip.

10 or 20 year reunion?????? I just returned from my 50 year high school reunion. It was great -- much better than I expected.
I live in Texas and had to go to Boston for the reunion. I spent a few days in Boston before the actual reunion and my entire trip cost me about $2,500. It was well worth it. I am so glad that I went. I was not able to make the 25th year reunion. I had not seen any of my classmates since 1962.
I hope that you can make your 20 year reunion.

Hi
According to me the reunions are very intresting and it would be great to attend such reunions coz reunions give us the oppurnity of meeting our friends, classmates and also we can meet our competitors where we can come to know about eachother's conditions.
the most best thing is we can recollect our old precious memories and can enjoy life keeping our busy schdule a side :).
So I think you should definately attend your reunion party.
You'll surely feel more good after meeting your friends.
Even your daughter will be happy seeing you smiling I beleive
