So, I tried online dating... it's really confusing.. but I gave it a go. It's so weird to me and I have not really gotten the gist of it but I've gotten my feet wet... it's a new day for a new experience. Anyone have any advice or stories they'd like to share from their experiences or ideas based online dating?

One of my friends joined an on-line dating website and she found men to type messages to. She hit it off with one of them but he came from the other end of the country. They felt they had so much in common that they should meet. So they met up for a day out and got on really well. They went into a relationship: him coming down one weekend and her going up there the next weekend. It got tiresome in the winter and just before his 40th birthday he split things up with her.
My friend was on the rebound and within one month she was dating another man she had found on that on-line dating website. They are still dating and see each other once a week. Not everyone is as lucky as my friend because I saw a documentary and four ladies were dating the same man met on-line. He was a con artist and got arrested. In on-line dating a person can sometime lie about themselves like saying they are younger than they really are. Once the couple meet they might find out about the lie if there is one.

Online dating most of the time does not work.. Unless you don't meet the person for real.. There is no way you can determine what sort of person he/she is.. The online persona could be fake.. Lots of possibilities.. Anyways.. I don't say its bad.. For some people it has worked.. On rare occasions you may meet some real nice and genuine people..

I have not been interested in having a relationship yet, so I do not have any experience with online dating. I have, however, seen many commercials for online dating sites, including eHarmony, match.com, and many others. What I find most interesting about these sites is the way that they can match people together with similar or compatible interests by simply answering questionnaires and things like that. It makes me wonder if lasting relationships are really made that often, since everything in commericals is usually a bit exaggerated to make the service seem better. I wish you luck in finding someone to be with.

I have registered myself in few online dating sites few years back. But nothing worked for me. Though most of the sites tell they are free. After signup we find that only signup is free. After signup everything else is payed and requires a Gold or Silver membership. I used the sites for an year and then since nothing worked for me, I just stopped checking them. :D
