My husband has a friend that had some yard sell leftover things and also some things that he had for a while what is a good way to find out if any of the things that he gave us is of any value as once again we are in need of money he have from cookie jars to old books to magnets it's just a bunch of different things I would like to find out and see if it's all worth anything ty in advance.

One of the things that I will do to find out if trinkets and such that I find around my house are worth anything is to look on ebay and see what the bids are for items that are the same or similar to those things that I have that I would like to get rid of. Now when it comes to things that I am pretty sure are antique or something like that, I will take those things to an antique shop and have them give me an appraisal for those items.
