Well, looking at london olympics & some of the results given arguably i think 2012 olympics results or judgement by the official should be checked, as looks sometimes influencen by some external or misceleneous factors other than what really hapenned.

I am sure you have to agree with me that every Games has its fair share of controversies and I think it is just part of the competition where it makes it that intense and interesting to watch. There will always be some questionable decisions but I don't think there's anything else other than human mistake in some of these controversies. As always, judges decisions will always be final and even when appeals are being filed, no one can be assured of how the decisions will turn out. But, no matter what I believe competitors must respect and accept the final decision and move on. Winning may be the aim but when we loose, we need to loose graciously as well. I don't think there's been any negative reaction so far and thankfully too.

Yes, I Agree that every game has its share of controversies its not fair when one country appeals & its been heared and supported but in same sort of incidence other country appeals but not a responce at all. Standards should have been same for all.

From what you had posted, I think there's no doubt that the appeals were being fairly looked into being that the committee is being fairly assembled. Although, there's no transparency in these matters I do not think the 2 cases have anything similar. Just don't let it spoil your enjoyment of the competitions.

I think both Boxing and Badminton have been in the center of that controversy. In Boxing one bout, the Indian boxer outboxed his opponent and all thought he won the match, but the result was announced that he had lost. Indians appealed but was rejected. In another match, the Indian did not box well, but was judged a winner. The Americans appealed and their appeal was upheld. So in that sense it is not at all clear how the Boxing ratings are being done and it is very very subjective handling by the judges there. Cheers! Ram

I don't agree and keep in mind we are all human and prone to making mistakes. I don't believe I have watched many sporting events where there was not a call by the judge that many people differed with but that is part of the game.
