I had been wondering about this issue for months. This started with the words echoed in the Film: 'Ticking Clock' :"If you are given a chance to go back in past and kill Hitler in his early childhood will you do it?"
I started wondering about this and questioned a number of people that whether people are born(genetically) evil or the become evil by the way life treats them. Your valuable opinions specially of those studying neurons, DNA and similar stuff are welcomed,!!???

well if ,you asking me about this, there was many factor for that, the popular factor is, internal factor and eksternal factor, in internal facktor, tahts mean it because she evil from their own family, and exsternal because the world to cruel to her. but it always inside to us to choose witch path will we choose, and actualy people born with mature and pure, all i can say when we born we not good or bad of patience and strength to fight with problems.,Every person has different line, so in fact of my spectualaition, its up to the person to choose his path.

I don't think people are born evil their experiences make them that way. Everyone is born with different traits though, and some people couldn't do anything evil if they tried, and others can't help not being evil. I don't know if it's a level of conscious or just the free will that you are born with.

An episode of "Through the Wormhole, with Morgan Freeman" asked that question, and what they found confirmed my suspicion ... the neurology is 'not quite a science.'
The featured one neurologist, who studied several brain-scans of psychopaths and found that they share a lot of the same mutations in brain-shape as ... neurologists like himself! (Actually, they didn't say anything about any other neurologists having the 'psychopath'-patterns; but What is a man but 'what he does'?)
Another 'study' they did (though I'm not sure about their method) showed that infants/toddlers preferred puppets that were 'nice' over puppets that were displayed as 'mean.' But it looked like the 'scientists' running that test were very leading: "Do you like :-D the one that was nice? :-D or :-( the one that was meeeeeeean?"

According to the bible we are all born with evil inside of us.
There is a famous saying in the Jewish old written (I hope I translated it right) - "Man's hearth is bad from youth".
Meaning we are born with evil inside of us, and we learn (or not) how to fight it and become good as we grow old.
And actually as much as we all hate to think so, this actually fit physiological experiments, and even our own knowledge of life.
After all little children only think about themselves. Their entire universe if about what is making them feel good, and they don't care at all about other people. However, as they grow up it changes (or at least they learn to hide it...)

No, I don't believe people are born evil. I believe, as with everything else, that people can be born with a certain disposition towards a certain behaviour- That is, they might be born with a set of genes that result in them producing a higher degree of testosterone than normal, or some other such hormone- and that may in turn make them more aggressive. Er, not that testosterone makes people aggressive; I'm just giving examples. I'm a Biology student, but I'm too tired to really be looking up my information right now.
What I'm saying, though, is that while people can be born with a greater likelihood of doing something- It doesn't mean that they will. The world and environment shapes the rest. Of course, if souls existed it would be an entirely different matter.

All creatures, not only human, created on instinct, are not they good guys or bad guys. Family, school and community environment, all of these have the greatest impact to gain of areas areas good or evil. Love of God our Creator, to make our willingness to accept the good is greater than the acceptance of evil.

I guess the real question is, "What is evil?". Is it someone that leads a group that does bad things? Is it the "evil doer"? A following of people that is lead by someone who does not commit evil while his or her followers do is quite interesting. No one is allowed to kill anyone except for during upholding the laws of war or defending someone. Children are especially those who should be the most protected. One cannot always determine who they may grow up to be and assuming they are going to be evil is not wise or kind. Personally, I think evil is perpetuated by making the weak weaker and promoting ignorance through miseducation and covering up truths.

That is a pretty interesting question. I just don't think people are born evil when they come into this world. I think something that has happened to them in their life has changed them in a negative way and then they become evil. Because when I see the relatives of some evil people in the world look like really nice people when they get interviewed on the news.

Hi,
I think it is a combination of the both! See, certain children are more aggressive in the child hood and they such children become more into such ativities when they become a senior person. Also, it can be with the negative. However, the existing circumstances plus the in-born genetic nature make them to a perfect warrior or devlish person in the later part of life.

I would like to believe all are born wholesome but I have seen in my life time children who were just off the hook and ended up in trouble over the years because they just couldn't get it together. It is sad but I think a lot goes into how a child is born and their temperment before they even come into the world.

My personal take on this matter is that all human beings are essentially good. We are formed in God's image and we all have an eternal soul. However, without the proper love and care (not just for the body, but also for the mind and the spirit) a young child might develop the wrong ideologies and grow up with the wrong beliefs. Sometimes it is the fault of an authority figure, because a child's mind is impressionable. It might not manifest in his early years, but it will affect his decision-making for the rest of his life.

Why worry about the future? Take one step at a time. Don't stress yourself a lot just relax. Have fun out in this world. Well Hitler it's the past. We would all would love to go to the past and do it. It would be awesome to have a time travel and change things around. This isn't a fantasy movie. We live in the real world and it's alright to talk about history but were having new history for the future. People decide whether to change to bad. If you play evil stuff yeah pretty much you will become a different person. Nobody makes a person evil unless you do bad stuff. It depends the way you grow up in the meaning how your parents raise you but everyone decides on their own...^_^

If we base answers from the Bible, God created man for a purpose. That is for man to serve and adore Him. He gave us a free will to choose from right to wrong. Just like Adam and Eve who chose to believe the devil than God, their creator when they decided to disobey God's command.

I'm not going to say that I have a surefire answer to this. As there is so much we don't know about the human mind there is no true answer to this at this time. All we currently have is opinions. I would say that we are all born good but the world changes us. Though the idea that we are born the way we are and that it is in our dna is a plausible argument.

The character of a person is a result many factors. His environment, the upbringing of his parents, the influence of the society where he lives. I don't think man is born evil. It is always a choice to do good or bad. It's not genetic.

I am willing to choose to believe that people not born evil coz we have god. God is angel.God not born in evil. People become evil because the atmosphere.Especially one's childhood. In childhood, everbody's world is empty just as paper waiting to paint on it with colorful things or darkness depends on one's experience in the childhood. Some think their childhood is happy while others guess their childhood is not so good. So when all of them grow up,in their memory, they still remember whether their childhood is happy or not which will influence their future common sense.
