Most of the times, I encounter people including friends who seemed to be in a bad countenance and I just could not help but to really feel bad too. Much more do I feel bad when I could do nothing to change their aura from sorrowful to joyful. Well, time came when I felt the conviction within me to pray for an officemate because that is all I could do then in her situation. I also had tried offering a "May I pray for you" to a young woman who had been very confused to her marital situation. After awhile, she felt blessed and had a brighter countenance. Most of the times, offering such thing is the most genuine and loving thing that I can ever do to people who seem hopeless..

God can do miracles without us but its a mystery why God wants our association and our partnership? He likes when we pray for ourseves and for others. Jesus has taught us .. "ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open to you." What is essential is to have fiath. Everybody can pray and obtain an answer. But for some God, in His free will bestows a special grace that is a gift to pray over others and the He grants the fulfillment. The particular person becomes a mediator. Perhaps you are gifted with this. Please do not lose this pearn of predilighted love of God, if He inspires you to pray for othersplease pray and pray constantly. May God reward you for it.

Wow, nice encouragement. Thanks srjac0902. Sometimes, I just really do not understand why is it that there is a prevailing urge in me to really pray for certain persons. I also had already tried not heeding to the conviction within and I had a great regret afterwards. From such experience, I already try to bring with me an ounce of faith and courage to ask a person to pray for him/her every time I feel the Spirit of God touching me to pray..At times, I had the fear to get rejected but I am growing up now that I do not care of rejection.

Yes, this is intercession. The power of prayer is something most of the people disregard. Men of the bible used this (Paul , Jesus, the disciples, etc)and it was very effective. If we pray for our children, our families, our nation, our countrymen, etc, we are interceding for them, we show that we are concerned and that we love them.

Hi isohyeoh. Intercession is another way of praying for others where prayer can be offered even in the absence of the person we are praying for. But praying for a person infront of himself is something that will require me some amount of boldness.. Thanks for the comment.
