Raining cats and dogs

It is raining cats and dogs here. It has been that way since early morning and that is the time I normally get up. It is lovely sitting in the cosy comforts of my home myLotting away or surfing for information on every subject under the sun. There is something frying in the kitchen - my girl friday is busy with that. When it pours nothing like relishing something that is deep fried with a hot cup of tea. How about you? What's happening out there at your end? Anything as good as this? For me this is heaven!

The whole of Metro Manila (the country's capital city of the Philippines)is under waters.
The rain never stops for a week now and most part of metro cities are submerged into deep waters- more or less 4-10 feet.

Rain is beautiful but too much of it so already dangerous , flash floods occurred , killing both human and animal life.

Yesterday it was sunny, but today it is cloudy. Early this morning it rained. It is cool today, but what is good is that it is not windy. Otherwise, it would make us feel cold. I am right now sitting in my room mylotting with the door open for some fresh air in the morning. From time to time, I also visit some shopping sites. Have a good day, allknowing.

You have revived my 4 month old discussion. The weather here is cool too and it looks like rains have called it a day but one never knows with how unpredictable weather is these days. So you are having a nice time with weather being so good out there! Enjoy!

There was some drizzle in the morning and it ruined the day too. Yesterday had some rain. The weather becomes humid and many unwanted things happened due to rain. I can understand your joy of rain, if I am in my native place I too can enjoy when there is heavy rain. But this place is not good for rain, where you may face lot of troubles. Don’t know whom to blame, the government, they already announced that the city is ready to welcome monsoon. Don’t know where they are living in heaven or in earth.

It is so different for different people. For me it has been one of the best days here with regard to weather. It has rained just the way I wanted but this does not happen every day. This time the weather is erratic - heavy sometimes, no rain at all or just nice as it is today. So I may as well enjoy while the going is good.
Sorry that you are not happy the way things are going on at your end.

Hi,
When there is raining outside we also take some fired food like onion pakoda or potato vada with tea. We have experienced these happy days in last week. We are living on the coastal area so here in our area rain is heavy. But I think this year it is not enough rain. We are waiting again for the rain for having fun.

Hi, It was raining here in Goa also but has stopped for some time. I like rains like this which does not cause floods. Back at my home in Fiji we gave lot of flooding and hurricane. But we are used to that weather because every year it happens. We have hurricane season from November to April.
In Goa there is no flooding yet. So I also like a hot cup of tea in this weather. I love it with lots of powdered milk. Have fun.

I like tea with fresh milk. I have been to Goa many times but I once opted to go there in the rains. It was heaven. Everything was so green and clean. The beaches were washed too. We watched revelers getting soaked in the rain on the beach, by choice, while we are sipping tea in the nearby tea stall.

I have not experienced rough weather where I live and I hope not to. Since you are experienced I suppose it does not bother you much.

Well I like it when it rains because it brings in cool breeze. But when it does not seem to stop at all that is really a matter of concern to me. I am kind of traumatized whenever I noticed the rain turns heavy and long because that would more likely lead to flood.
Actually here in Metro Manila, the non-stop rain which started Monday did not bring heavenly feeling to the people. Why? Because it brought in big flood that resulted into tremendous devastation all over the entire Metro.

Nature has its way salonga where nothing can be done. Here too although there are no floods the general situation is that there are scanty rains this year. What I am experiencing in the last two days is an exception and I am making the most of it.

Your feeling for others who are suffering due to floods shows you are a caring person. Your thoughts will work wonders I am sure and they will soon have relief from their woes.

Rains are not so constant, infact it hasn't rained for 3weeks not counting the slight showers that comes once in a while, although it is very cold and cloudy but the construction jobs going on around my city wouldn't let it rain, it would disrupt their work and how far they have come.
But right now all olympics activities have ended on TV, nothing is being streamed so I have to lay in my bed Mylotting and preparing some sleep to come soon, but I don't see that happening because I had a late siesta today, so I guess I could just make up some time to earn here and other sites I belong to.

What is food to one is poison to another as it is said. So the construction workers are too happy it is not raining. Selfish I say! But it should rain at the time it is expected. How else can one survive. You seem to be making the best of your situation and that is called living!

The pattern here too is not consistent. This is the time it should rain every single day but it is not that way these days. This day was special as it rained heavily with no wind blowing - just the right thing for those who would like to spend time indoors!

Its rainy season in here. It had rained a lot a few days ago. The peasantry have finish planting their paddy saplings. Enough rain is needed to prepare the land muddy enough to plant the paddy saplings. Now the peasantry passes a tense time as there is no rain but is supposed to rain frequently and in torrents in this going very rainy season.
The meadow dries up and the weeds are about to grow in abundance. Its so growing of weeds goes on then the cultivatore will have to cost a lot to weed them and the plants wont revive it normal dense greeny appearance.
We cultivators find our happiness or survival into our pompous greeny meadow.

Its a grey and dreary day here. Overcast but not raining, so its nasty instead of cozy. I'm doing laundry and trying to figure out what to fix for lunch. Not quite the slice of heaven you're in right now. lol

I wish I could say the same. Here is very, very hot and there is no sign of rain. I am waiting for a drop to fall for better than two weeks now.
It seems that the chances to rain in here are very poor and we have to wait till autumn comes.

Today specially was a beautiful day but I cannot say that it will be like this every day. We have had thunder and lightning which is very disturbing. I made the best of today and hope there will be a repeat of this for days to come.

The sky here at my hometown has been cloudy since morning, but rains are elusive.Last night it was raining, but not cats and dogs.It has been a long time since I had last witnessed heavy rains.I can never forget that September day in 1998.It started raining suddenly and within minutes I saw people on the road running for cover.Thereafter it did not stop before the end of the week.Rivers everywhere were in spate and my hometown had become an island. That was the last time I had witnessed such a heavy rain.

Nature's fury is unpredictable and many parts of the world have experienced it at some time or the other. Where I am, it has been calm so far and hope I will never get to experience it.
Would you like to share your experience?

I had a pretty good storm hit here on Sunday. At one point I saw a bright yellow flash, almost like a bomb went off, and in the same instant a house shaking boom that almost knocked me off my feet. The hair on my arms stood up as well. I don't know where the lightning hit, but that's the closest I ever want to come to that.

Could it have been ball lightning? I have heard so much about it. Here is a link that gives more information on this
