with the flooding during some rains or heavy rains, i think we can't just blame because of the flooding. i think it is more of the garbage that is causing the flooding. if the causes of flooding would be solved then even in strong rains i don't think that we would see this high flooding that we are seeing now on the city.

You are right Govt. should improve the city but they are busy in gaining the money and fighting with politicians. India is not improving only due to this polticians. If they give their money for improvement then India will most richest country. Lots of money in the politicians house. They dont want to know about flood problem, poverty problem.

When a lot of people stay at one small space, garbage problems would surely appear - thus problems with flooding as well. I think what the government should do is to maintain a balanced number of people per city. There should be passports per city so that people would not be congested in a small place. I know it doesn't sound democratic of me, but the Philippines is a small country, Manila is smaller even and it couldn't take a lot of people living in small spaces. If these industries are spread about a lot of places in the Philippines, then people wouldn't need to be concentrated in Manila to find work. Have a great Mylot experience ahead!

Does the government have the funds to fix up the city as I know many have spent all revenue on stupid parties and election campaigns and we the citizens have to suffer.

It's not always the government's fault, remember that sometimes it's our obligation too to make our city clean and ready for any future calamity or disaster. Just by seeing a flooded area where a lot of garbage can be seen reminds me of how people throw their trash. It's like a mirror of what we do to our environment.

In certain areas in our country we also have a problem with garbage. I think one can only blame the government if there aren't enough rubbish bins in public places to put the garbage in, or if they don't provide trucks to transport the garbage away. But the responsibility is also with us citizens to make sure we throw our garbage in bins and make sure the area around our home is clean. If everyone did that there would be very little garbage lying around and then less flooding will happen. Sometimes if the government is poor, or just don't care, then we have to take matters into our own hands and maybe form volunteer groups to clear up the area. Children can also take part and it teaches them good lessons about how to keep their town or city clean and tidy.
