Workers Cleaning up after Themselves..

So today in my apartment complex, all units had their original toilets replaced by new energy efficient toilets. After the worker left, he did not clean up after himself after leaving dirt in the sink and dirt all over the floor. Personally I understand that he was busy scrambling to get all the units done, I didn't mind cleaning up after him. I did hear other tenants complaining about it though, maybe they were just complaining because they have nothing better to do ( as they are known to do frequently) I don't know. What do you guys think? Have you ever had work done on your place where the worker didn't clean up?

I see it every time some one works on any apartment I've lived in. And it really really really irritates me completely. But if an outsider (like a contractor) comes in to fix something they do clean up after themselves. I guess the apartment workers just don't care, or feel like they don't have to clean up after for some stupid reason. I have not called and complained to the office myself, because 99% of the time they actually fix the problem, and normally pretty quickly too, so I'm afraid if I complain that they didn't clean up after themselves then they might not do such a good job next time.

If I felt that the guy was just being lazy I would be upset in that scenario. In this case, it seemed like this guy was assigned too much work in such a short period of time so I felt bad for the guy.

Actually the gentlemen who was working today is not an employee of the apartment complex, they were hired out just to complete this task only. I'm sure they see a lot of disgusting bathrooms though.

I wish the guys that come to work on my apartment were overworked, or at least seem to be overworked. Most of them get here on time/within a good time, but they take forever, do decent work, but leave a huge mess. And I've lived in a about 5 different apartment complexes where I've had to call for maintenance. :( My other half thinks its because most people in the area only get about minimum wage to do any type of work, which really I don't think I could really fix other peoples toilets, digging in their nasty bathrooms and garbage disposals for only $7.25/hour and really do a good job.

Whenever I had experiences like this, the worker have cleaned up after themselves, but I would not be offended if they didn't, ionly if they left a really big mess and so much "litter" that someone without the proper equipment can't clean up... but yours clearly wasn't that case.

Yes it definately wasn't anything too drastic it took less than 5 minutes for it to be sparkley clean again. Thanks for commenting.

Usually they do clean up after themselves...in fact I have never seen a worker not clean up when doing some big project....he must have been in a big hurry.

I think he was in a big hurry, there are a lot of units to cover and I think they were aiming to have it all done today and he was the only one installing the toilets as far as I know. Thanks for commenting.
