Been watching the news and what i saw devastated me. I got a call from my Uncle living in Taguig City asking me how we were doing here and if we're all fine. He was concerned about us when he's nearer the disaster than we are here. It's all over the news, over twitter and all I could do is pray. I could donate money and that's the best I could do. But we need prayer the most to stop the rain from pouring and the water level from rising. Let's pray for the Philippines.

Where I am here, (US) we're in such a horrible drought that it's hard to imagine such flooding. I am and will continue to pray for everyone there.

That would be nice if we could exchange weather for a few days.

Thank you so much for the prayer. I hope we could share some rain on your area and you share your little ray of sunshine over here.

It must be a terrible situation in your country with those floods. I really sorry and I join to the praying so that the damages get to stop. Actually I haven't heard about these unfortunatelly news from your country, but I know that the floods are a threat in the place where you live. It is a good idea that you can help by donating some money. I guess you want to do more for your folks, but in such huge disasters it is impossible to do more than one is able to do.

Yeah. Actually the people are more prepared now and the government too. This is not the first time that such disaster has happened so relief goods and rescues were prepared. It's just that it has been raining continuously and rescue people found it difficult to help those in need.

Yes, the news for the last 1-2 days are terribly shocking and hope the situation there is under control. Does it happen every year or this year it seems too much?

It doesn't happen every year. I hope that it will stop raining in Luzon so the water level would subside.

Yes. Let us pray for the Philippines. It is really scary here in Marikina. Floods are continuously rising because of the rain. According to the news, it will be all better either tomorrow or on Friday. Let us hope for the best. A lot of people are already in the evacuation centers. Stay safe.

Though I am far away and safe, I can't help but worry to those who are still in danger. I just hope there's no more deaths and people will be safe.

Prayers and actions. That's what most of the people in our country need right now. Like you, I can only do so much for them. I sure am so grateful that we were spared from the same plight, but of course it will be better if we will minimal to no casualty at all. Prayers for all.

Indeed. We still need to pray that people will be brought to safety and no more calamity would befall them.

I hope that your uncle is not living in the low lying area of Taguig. I know for a fact that some areas of Taguig had a very high flood. I knew of a co-worker living in Taguig who resides in a two story house. The entire first floor of their house was already completely submerged in flood water. In times like this, prayers are our best defense against harm. And it would be much better if we take action to help those who are affected by the flooding.

Nope he's not. He said the area is very high and there's no flood around him.

Hi, We should have done the prayer long before disaster strikes. Now its too late for that, now is the time to move fast out of the danger zone, to look for food, shelter and clothing, to rescue the endangered. Have we done a lot of prayer before, doing what we pray and praying for what we do, then we could never have come to a deep---st situation like this.

It's never too late to pray. I don't think it's too late. We could always pray that more people would be saved. We don't have to be bitter because we have experienced calamity.

Flood in the Philippines due to heavy rain fall. There's no typhoon, it's just the monsoon rain.
