I am in the process of buying textbooks for my first semester BACK to college (just generals!) and boy - are they expensive! Of course, when I went to the public uni (my first year - back in 2009), I spent about $600 total on textbooks each semester. Now that I can't just charge it to my account (I am going to a community college, things work a little differently here!) I am trying to scrape by with just the nickel and dimes left over from my paychecks. This is where you come in!
For you current or former college students, where have you had good luck finding CHEAP, USED textbooks online? What is the site you would recommend the most? I can buy used textbooks at the college bookstore but they seem to be more expensive. So far I have tried Amazon and Half.com and ordered a couple off of there.
Which used textbook-selling websites would you suggest? Which is your favorite?

Well I have not bought text books online ever, so I won't be able to suggest any site. another thing you can do is get the list of students of past years and try to get in touch of them. Who knows maybe they give you for free. I wish good for you. When I was in UNI we used to write on a paper the books I want and paste it near the library and other common places in the Uni. Many people used to do this. Add your phone number, so anyone who has those books and wants to sell, they will contact you.
Hope I was of some help. have a wonderful day.
