Are there any interests here in myLot which you feel awkward to discuss? For me, I have one. However, I tried posting one discussion just a few minutes ago. I don't know if how many myLot members will spend time leaving their comments about it. How about you? Are you avoiding any sensitive topics?

I was a bit shy but after reading some comments I guess I have nothing to be shy of. Thank you for the comments.

There are some topics that (like you) I will avoid as I do not know anything about them. However, there have been some that I have participated in, even though I knew nothing about the subject matter, because I had questions and wanted to learn more. Most were started by friends of mine, so I felt comfortable asking questions to try to get more information and learn things about different cultures. Of course, if I have no interest in the subject, then I will avoid it rather than trying to ask questions just to earn a couple of cents.

There are many times I have stumbled upon discussions that even my friends have started that I either know nothing about or would never respond back to because of the subject title or interest catagory. The beauty of being a member here is all the wonderful discussions to choose from.

I think that I have responded in many "sensitive topic areas" on myLot, although I am more choosey about the actual discussion than the subject matter of the discussion. What I mean is that there are many "sensitive subject matters" than can be handled in an appropriately sensitive and adult way, and I do not have a problem responding to them. On the other hand, when these subjects are handled inappropriately, then I am more likely to avoid them ... then again, sometimes the inappropriateness actually draws me into responding to defend them.

dear
I only respond to discussions that i like and feel comterable resoponding too. Often though i will respond to the today's op discussions page and i won't look at the interest that the discussion is in. I don't really judge the discussion by its interests but of the discussion iteself.
