I am no mechanic expert, but I just wonder would this wear out the car. Now, it is hot summer time, and we have to turn on the A/C to cool down the heat. During the lunch time, I usually would go to my car to enjoy the lunch, or read a book. I just can't sit in the car without turn on the A/C; so, usually I would turn on the A/C while having my lunch or reading a book or newspaper for at least half hour. If I do that everyday, would it wear down the car? Some people say, I simply sit in my car and turn on the A/C, that just not good. Is that a truth?

Here in my place the AC a\have to be switched on during most of the time we can neither drive not stay in the car with out the AC.As of what i know its just the consumption of fuel that's it.In case there is some issues if the car is on idle and the AC is switched ON then what will be the situation of the car during a stop at the signals. We here wait for 2-3mins for a signal and the car is on idle.I had my car for over 8 year and had to just refill the AC's refrigerant for better cooling and had no problem with my vehicle.I guess there should be no problem in having the AC ON in idle. But never sleep with you AC on in the car its not safe.

in my understanding ,this only consume gasline , it is not very healthy when you sit in the car for a long time , cause the air inside is not very fresh , and second , maybe it will accelerate the wear of air-condition components ,this true
