Kid's TV Shows - Capitan Planet

Hello fellow parents and adults,
I recently started thinking about how childrens tv programming has changed over the years. I am 28 years old and what I remember watching as a kid is nothing like whats on tv now. I thought about the show capitan plant and started to think that would be an amazing show to bring back. Because a major issue if not the largest issues is climate change and us polluting the atmosphere. I remember captain planet being a show that focused on keep our planet clean. I think they need to bring a show of that sort back and focus on being green and clean. Children love cartoons on tv and all I see now is mostly nonsense and has no meaning to it or message behind it. Does anyone feel the same?

I remember that show and you are so right. I tell my children all the time that the cartoons that are on now are terrible. They do have some good programs but you are correct that there are many that have no sense or meaning. I have my children watching and singing songs from shows I watched. Do you remember the Animaniacs? I showed my children them and now they sing the state capitol song, or at least trying too. Happy Lotting!

Lol thank you so much for that response and the laugh... I so remember animaniacs as soon as I read that line the song came in my head.... But yes they were great I don't understand how they got rid of all the older cartoons like bugs bunny (old school one) and stuff because some characters smoked cigerattes or blowing up eachother, drinking etc because they say it was a bad influence on children but look at programming now. They have teletoon late night which shows all the bad shows, and yes I find any new cartoon has no message or morality to it. I dont know about you but I know that by watching bugs bunny smoke a cigeratte did not influence me to smoke or watching cookie monster have a complete diet of cookies, make me want to eat cookies 24/7 from what I remember I found them very funny. Society these days I tell ya what is the world gunna be like for our little ones when they reach our age thats my biggest fear. Thanks again for the animaniacs memory :)
