So have you ever been in a situation where you found yourself or someone you were with falling asleep at the movie theatre? I've never been in this scenario myself, but I have witnessed other people sitting within the theatre falling asleep! I was surprised because I thought the movie was quite good ( American Reunion), the seats must've been too comfortable or he was really tired!

Yes I can honestly say I was in this situation myself. We went to see the movie Hannah when it came out and it was so boring that I fell asleep in the theater. But ever since then I can't say that I have fallen asleep at the movies.

Wow it must've been boring, how far into the movie was it before you fell asleep do you remember? Thanks for commenting.

i really find that hard to believe that anyone could or would fall asleep because i find that the movies are so loud that it is hard to do anything but listen.

It amazes me too, some people can fall asleep through anything. I suppose if you're tired enough, anything is possible.

Years ago my Mum took me and my brother to see Star Wars (the very first movie they made..and probably the longest lol) and she fell asleep half-way through, not because she was tired but she was bored. To be honest, I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about with this film...and I still can't. It was on for far too long and I knew this at that young age..11 to be exact! As for the guy you witnessed..well, sometimes, once it goes dark some people fall asleep I guess..and he WAS a man after all.

I know sometimes people in general have a habit of falling asleep during any movie, no matter how interesting it is.

I have never done that before. Lol. I cannot fall asleep anywhere in public though, I feel too uncomfortable like people are watching me or something. My husband probably would though if he was tired, he can sleep anywhere! Now though after the whole shooting I do not know if I will feel safe even being in a movie theatre, much less sleeping in one!

I haven't got asleep watching movies in a theater but did get asleep in bus while travelling. I have seen my cousin fall asleep while watching Iron Man2, but I never experienced it myself ...

I fall asleep traveling sometimes too, when I'm on the train I always worry about falling asleep and missing my stop though.

It has never happened to me, but it did with the hub. We were together in this cinema house watching a Miley Cyrus movie when like halfway through the movie I heard him snorring, lol! I know he isn't too tired, he just find it boring. And, it's even his suggestion to watch it. I forgot the title but apparently he's got no idea who she is and he just liked the sound of the movie title, lol!

Did you nudge him when he started snoring or did you just leave him in peace? That's too funny!

I once fell asleep in a movie theater. It happened while I was living in Italy. I had had a long day at the language school and afterwards I had to travel several hours in order to get to the small town where my friend lived. When I arrived in the evening I was very tired, but I tried to forget it and have a good time with my friend. My friend and her sisters wanted to watch a movie and I thought that it sounded like a good idea. We picked a movie and went to the movie theater. The movie that we had picked was a comedy and it was very funny...but I still fell asleep in the middle of the movie I was sad that I didn't manage to watch the entire movie because it was a very funny movie, but I was simply too tired.

I am often so tired that yes, I do fall asleep - no matter how uncomfortable the chairs are. Let's face it - it's dark in those theaters! The movie becomes sort of hypnotic...and next thing I know, one of my kids is waking me up. If it's someone I really wanted to see, I force myself to stay awake, but it's difficult. I'm not used to sitting down and doing "nothing". So the more a movie can grab my attention, the better the chances I'll stay completely awake.

Well hey, atleast there is something entertaining the kids to keep them quiet while you catch up on some deserved sleep, sounds like a win-win to me. Thanks for commenting.

ohh..maybe he was really tired but I can't sleep in theatre the money I paid for the ticket will be wasted if I do that. LOL

You're right that it would be a waste of your money, I don't think people intentionally fall asleep in theatres. If it was a movie they really wanted to see I bet they wake up disappointed in themselves..
