Considering you have kids, how do you handle stress? I am suffering from stress right now and I'm not good at handling it. Perhaps you can share your ideas on how to handle stress. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

When i'm under stress and I'm at the office, I just ask for a break. Our office is inside the mall so I walk around the mall and watch people or check out some items on sale or buy myself a snack or just have coffee. It's not much but it will give me enough chance to breathe in and breathe out so I can regain a better mood to continue the day. When I'm home though and I feel stressed, I follow my heart's desire and do what I want. If I want to eat chocolates or watch a DVD movie or play online games or open MyLot or FB, I'll do so just to satisfy myself. Sometimes, I turn the music loud and do some exercise or even dance. Or when I'm tired, I'll stay with my two- year old daughter inside the bedroom and get as much sleep as I can with her. It's easier now for me since my eldest is already twelve and my second is five, so they stay in school during the day. I only have my younger to look after and I hire a house help to assist me daily on all of the chores. But if your kids are younger and there's more of them, it might be a bit challenging for you. I use to buy a lot of coloring books for my second child to keep her busy for some time when she was still three. That will give me the chance to attend to the new baby then. And I asked my mom to stay with us too so there'll be someone to assist me. Then I only have time to unwind with my husband at night when they're asleep (my mom with them), we go out to watch a movie or have coffee or some snacks at McDonalds- convenient and relaxing enough for me.

Hi thersdae_me! I have a one year old daughter and the two of us are left alone during weekdays at home and we have no domestic helper in here. It is actually hard to manage time taking care of my daughter and her needs and at the same time, doing household chores and feeding the dogs. On weekends we rarely go out because my significant other is frugal.

From my view,I think the best way to release my stress to go to KTV and sing my favoutite song,I say sing actually I mean shout, when you shout the song loudly you willl feel there is not any stress upon you shoulder,I can sing ong in KTV with my friends the whole night, from night to dawn, that may be sound crazy but I think this is a good way to release stress,do you think so?

Good idea, I'm into KTV singing and I actually sing my heart out as long as I'm inside a cubicle where no one hears me. Thank you skyandgrassplot!

In the modern world stress has become part of life, so I think all are stressed, if one keeps himself engaged he can't feel it; but later it comes back.. At times prayer helps, try it lol

I will start off this way. Medication IS NOT THE ANSWER. I try and handle stress by staying as calm as possible. Also a great stress reliever is music. It seems to settle the mood and calm things down. Another way to handle it is when you do have a few minutes of time to yourself, take it by resting and relaxing. That will eliminate some stress for the moment. And give you a chance to move forward. I know it is hard to handle stress in this world today. I not only have stress but do suffer from anxiety as well. So I try and eliminate myself from lots of situations.

I handle stress by shopping, going out with my friends and talking on the phone. basically, I just do the things that I like. This really works for me. Sometimes I just sit on my bed and watch some tv. It takes me away from my problems :) I hope this works for you too. happy mylotting.

When you find yourself feeling the bad effects of stress, you need to take action immediately. The sooner you begin the process of treatment, the easier it will be and the quicker you will be back to your normal state. You can take steps : 1 Set realistic goals and limits for yourself, put things into perspective and try not to get upset about insignificant or relatively unimportant matters. 2 Find activities that you enjoy and set aside time to participate in basis 3 Participate in regular physical exercise 4 Set goals and break them into easily achievable tasks 5 Counseling by qualified mental health professionals

It's not only the children, it's the expectations you put on yourself that induces great amounts of stress. If I were to suggest anything it would be don't be so hard on yourself. Take the evening and say..Snack night.take a moment...just a coupe for yourself. Take a long bath or do something you have been wanting to do. The children will always come first and anytime we go shopping for ourselves, we will always just get them something...but take a moment for yourself to rewind.

Being a mother of two children, I do think that it is very important to have something that we do in order to deal with stress. For me, I have to admit that the way that I deal with stress each and every day is spending some time on mylot. However, there are times that things are getting to me worse than usual and when that happens, I will take a relaxing bubble bath with a good book, this is something that is really relaxing for me.

i will do something i want to relax, and i will sleep for a long time to forget the stress i face, and i will encourage myself, i will say i can do it to myself, which makes me confident and i don't worry. it is a good way to relax , you can choose to sleep or see some movies to relax. good luck!
