real life barbie - shocking

I was really shocked when I saw this in the news. Apparently, there is a girl that looks exactly just like barbie. The waist, the bust and the eyes.. When I saw her on the television, she really looked like barbie. It was actually scary. She said she achieved this look NATURALLY. I do not believe that one bit. I don't think anyone can have waist as small as hers without any surgeries. She is just in her early 20's and she looks way older than she is. What happened to the girls in this generation? :(

I have read about her too,, somewhere. She can have that waist cos there is a woman who has smaller waist than hers, but I can not believe that it's her natural face. I'm sure she did surgery for that "looks like plastic" skin. Check this site out, https://twitter.com/sbadsgood/status/231954139939237888/photo/1 you'll see how Barbie's proportions would look on an actual human woman, it is scary indeed. I think young girls should be told about this.

The 'looks like plastic' skin is more likely make-up. There really isn't a surgery that can give someone that kind of skin.

Is this Valeria Lukyanova or some other model? I've looked at some of her pictures and her Youtube videos. I think she looks very beautiful, and I think it's amazing that she was able to achieve this look. I've read conflicting reports on what whether or not or how much surgery she's had. I bet she has had surgery but is ashamed to admit it because plastic surgery and the people who get it are typically demonized. I'm pretty certain the very doll-like eyes and lips plus the glowing face are done just with make-up, though she still looks very pretty without make-up. Now, even if she did have surgery I bet there were a number of things she did to achieve this look that were completely natural like good skin care, diet, and exercise. Plastic surgery isn't a magic wand. There are lots of things that it can't do. She DOES NOT look way older than she is. I would say she looks younger, late teens rather than early twenties. As for what happened to girls in this generation... they're insecure. But I don't think that just because someone has lots of plastic surgery or goes for a certain very unique look that means they must have deep-seated self-esteem problems or are extremely vain. I wish we could look at changing our appearance through plastic surgery the same way we look at changing our hairstyles or our clothes, as ways that we can express ourselves rather than some iron image that we aren't allowed to touch because it's what we were born with.

What can I say, poor girl.Another person who didn't learn to love herself. She will be a victim of her choice because as the skin and body ages, you need to make new surgeries again and again and constantly improve that "picture".It's an never ending story. Some plastic surgeons who have heart try to convince their clients that they see defects where they don't exist and that they need a psychologist rather than a plastic surgeon.

I know that you can change your waist naturally by placing something like rubber around your waist everyday to manipulate its shape. I haven't seen her boobs but there are contraceptive pills that can increase the size of the boobs. But I haven't seen her whole body when she claimed it maybe she had really worked for it and she planned it well. It can be natural but we don't really know, right? Maybe being a real barbie is her way of coping up depression, sometimes it goes like this.

Oh I think she didn't achieve that whole barbie look naturally. She changed her eyes, her chest and her waist to look like barbie. Internet has her "before" pictures. She's not really that beautiful but she isn't bad looking either. She probably wants to be popular and she got what she wanted.

Oh really? I have never seen her before pictures. I do not understand why she wants to look like this. It just doesn't look natural :( She looks pretty scary.

She can look pretty, but had to have several cosmetic surgeries! No one with 20 years old for as little as she eats has that waist! But Nowadays veryone with money and parents that allow have the chance to get those medical procedures. If she was from my generation i would ask, who wants to be exactly as someone else, even if that someone else is a barbie doll. Today is diferente, everyone wants or have to mimic someone, whether a famous person, a cartoon character or even a popular girl from school. And today in order to be part of a group everyone needs to have a pattern to follow, or you probably get bullied if you don't do that. That is the problem of generation of today, not being able to be different.

I do think this real life barbie is very beautiful. If she hasent had any surgeries and is lucky enough to look just like barbie that is really awesome for her. Makeup can change peoples looks a lot but without seeing photos of her from years ago we wont know if she has had any surgeries or not.

Oh....This one is interesting. Well, she might be an avid fan of Barbie and she wants a lot of exposure. By that, she did everything that she could to achieve that look. And maybe she took some pills and some medicines due to the surgeries that she went through and that might have made her look older. Anyway, now that she has been given the break or the exposure that she has ever wanted, then all her efforts might had paid off. Cheers!

I think she's more beautiful when she had not done any surgeries and other artificial means to achieve her current barbie look. Just my thoughts. . .

I was amused after reading the discussion, so searched for the real life barbie and found she is an Ukranian, 21 year old Valeria Lukyanova. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2133552/Valeria-Lukyanova-pictures-Real-life-Barbie-seeks-worlds-convincing-doll.html http://www.geekologie.com/2012/04/look-at-what-youve-done-to-yourself-ukra.php With the photos she doesn't look real at all, but it seems she exists. I am also thinking the same what has happened to this girl to become a barbie? ....

There have been a few women like this who have altered their bodies to fit the barbie image. Not all of them went to these lengths though. I think it's insane, honestly. But no less insane than all the girls out there who modify themselves to look like other movie stars.

I agree - find these people's (and there are many of them) obsessions very frightening. Always think, what must their lives be like?
