People say if you want to earn online make a blog. I used to try it but I think it's isn't as easy as registering to Triond or Experts Column and earning there. There are too much blogs and you will possibly spam the same topics in your niche.
What can make a blog successful next to billions others?

Hi csabaholcz,
If you want to earn money online you don't need a blog(a blog is a very effective marketing tool, but this is not the point...). If you want to start earning real money you need to change your attitude. You need to give a ton of value to other people and stop caring about the money, they will come. The people you help will thank you for what you did for them and they will give you praises and money for your effort. So, the idea is to find some problems that people have and create a blog with content that solve specific problems(you can have more blogs, in different niches)...That's it, SOLVE PROBLEMS and the money will come, don't chase the money because they will forever run from you, instead create a lot of value and solve problems and only then lots of money will come easily to you...
Hope this answer will help you. Thanks and have a great day!

@kimigory you are absolutely right most of the blogs which are doing good are based on solving problems such as Problogger that I earlier mentioned is a blog for all the bloggers where the owner talks about all the problems faced by bloggers around the world and how to solve them and each one of his posts is unique and not a copy of any other.

I can't say exactly what you need to do...but I can give some hints - first choose a niche(something you like is better)than make a little research and see who are the "big dogs"(other bloggers) in your niche and see what their doing and copy them, but don't forget to always put the people first and add some of your thoughts and ideas in your blog(this will make it unique).

And how should I build that blog?
It should be personal where I start the stories with examples from my life? I think you mean this.

I like your attitude of being too clear and frank. You could really make good here and the next time you could just realized you have made so many opinions.

I feel I would cry because being too happy when I see such brave comments. I'm really don't listed to SEO. I always like to choice good topics. I would be happy to see Mylot community later on, on my blog.
I have the whole summer to start this.
I used to write daily. Junk but daily. Maybe less often but higher quality would made it.
Wait a moment did you say 20,000?! If I could reach 1200 a month I would live and die as happy and rich man in Hungary.

I think that making money blogging is a little bit difficult. Because thousands of blogs are out there and it wil be difucult for yours to receive clients

Indeed. The worse for me is to find a niche. A topic what I write about. I can't make enough of posts in ONE topic.

I do believe that blogging can get you somewhere. If it couldn't then why are there so many blogs? Even newspapers are writing blogs now. It does make it entertaining and interactive. I feel like I am getting my two cents worth by responding to them. What I believe can get your blog read is number one on the content and number two on the design. The more professional your blog looks the more responses I believe you would get. In other words don't just throw something out there. Think about how you want your blog to look. Put some effort and time into it. Also the length of your blog. I'd be more inclined to read your blog if it is at least 1200 to 1400 words versus 500. If anyone has gone to college online which I have you know exactly what I'm talking about. The professor wants you to write a paper on a subject and it has to be 1500 words or less and you have to send your paper to a place that checks for plagiarism and counts the words. Another good way to get readers to your blog is to make it interesting and write something about what you are selling. This is a great way to get readership. I could go on but I won't. I think that this is some great tips to get your started. Also I like to read well written blogs. Good luck and hope this gives you some pointers.

I know blogging can get you somewhere. That's alright, but the main problem is how to make an unique blog. There blogs indeed what get money, but that's a problem too. There are too much blogs what earn money already.

I think being passionate about what you're writing about is really a big part of it also. You have to want to write every day - or write a lot and stock up posts to post daily when you don't have ideas for that day. You need to write about something that you will want to write about all the time - even when you're out with your friends.
I hear that a lot of bloggers keep little notebooks with them to keep track of ideas when they're out so they can write about those things later. Hopefully that helps.

Daily? I thought people shouldn't write daily. Weekly or every third, second day or something like that. So the writter will have time for a high quality post and the readers will wait for you and want more!

blogging can get you somewhere literally. because of my blog, i was invited to madrid to speak in a workshop. i have blogs that discuss social issues. well, earning is secondary for me. what i want is to express my views and perspectives on social issues to influence others and make them aware of those issues. yes, i am earning from my blogs but they are secondary to my purpose which is advocacy.

It is already a fact that indeed blogging can really bring you to somewhere in terms of financial. However, its not somethings that every people can do. It requires a lot of skill, passion, interest and many more. I have tried it but it came to a point of diminishing thoughts. I really ran out of words to write in my blog and just stopped there. But if you really feel you can endure and possess the qualities of a good blogger, then go and make one.
