This is in relation with another mylotter topic regarding the unexpected situation she encountered while Mylotting late at night.
Yes, due to late night mylotting me and other mylotter was able to help unknown people 20-30 kilometers away from our place.
A woman is about to give birth in the midst of havoc here in our place Metro Manila.
The woman's family and friends are asking for help since early morning yesterday but the rescue team don't have any means to reach their place due to strong current and high waters.
The pregnant family's use all their means to reach anyone, asking for help and one of their friends posted it in Facebook.
It happens that he person is a friend of this mylotter.
I gave to this mylotter two contact numbers of our rescue team.
Thanks GOD, the rescue operation was a great success...
Now,they shared to us the baby's photo.
Me and the other mylotter named her "MYLA" sounds as MyLot.
She's a bouncing baby girl born this morning at 7 o'clock August 9, 2012.
We're gonna be Godmothers
Have a great day everyone
jaiho®- so much joy behind fears.

You really given a good news out from the troubled waters!
Hope both the baby and the mom are fine and doing well. Whether the situation improved and the rains got stopped now? How's the climate? I got a forward of a waterfall restaurant in Philippines and uploading some photo of the same. You know about it and what is the current position of this waterfall-restaurant, any idea?

thanks,
Rain stopped this morning but still flooded places takes time to mobilized normally.
As far as I am concerned- no major damaged done- but I saw my ceiling soaked in water.
So, I must check my roof for any leaks...

internet really is a great help in our daily living. see what happened, even on mylot, help can be seek and served. not that mylot or the internet rescued them but the help and the rescue started because there is internet. and oh, what a coincidence. you heard about mentalward's new baby granddaughter born last July 31? she was also named "MYLA".

Zayzay? he's the original mylot baby.
well in so far as the weather is concern, the SUN is still shining at its hottest. completely different, total opposite from the luzon weather. it's sad that our house in the province was also submerged in flood water for days, even before the monsoon happened early this week. two of my sisters, living separately with their own families, had to evacuate to neighbors, those with higher houses and on higher ground.

hello mgbu,
Thanks for your kind words
Honestly, when the family shared the baby photo in facebook- I can't explain what I feel on that moment.
When the other mylotter send me the message that the rescue operation is a great success, I really jump with joy.
Until this moment, there's still messages on my facebook account that are posted
This is one of the best thing that ever happened to me while using the net and mylotting.
Thanks again and have a great day...

Hi Jai sis, i never thought your late night mylotting had made you and the other mylotter becoming heroines. Indeed, it is great you are able to lend your helping hands in situation like that. It is good to hear the rescue team had succeeded in rescuing that family and the baby was born safely. Very cute and beautiful baby. Even the name you gave her is very beautiful, too.

That's very nice of you to help those in need. Although both of you are not physically present there, those vital numbers that you gave them definitely made a difference in the life threatening situation they have to go through because of the flood.

hello usemyname,
Upon knowing the situation, I gave two numbers to contact.
Actually those two numbers belongs to my friends and colleagues (I am also a part of the rescue team)- internal.
So, I was awake and keep on watch, watching updates and waiting for any emergency calls so I can relay to our rescuers deployed in different parts.
It just happen that, our team/group have close contact with the Red Cross the only group who owns amphibians vehicles.
So, the team was able to reach the place in time
thanks...we're so much happy..and I am grateful with the other mylotter who stays late with me too

Hi Jai!
It is heartening to hear the story and we are proud of you that you helped the pregnant lady and she could safely deliver a sweet baby. It was commendable on your part to rose to the occasion.
Your and other mylotter's name should be proposed to the Government of Phlipinnes for some suitable award for your good work.

hello dpk,
oh dear, forget the award -its only for show.
Anyway, this is not the first time and I am not waiting for any honor or medal.
The family thank us publicly , televised locally and international.
But they never know who they are thanking- yes, they only say..."thanks to whoever contacted the rescue team and Red Cross" because they really never knew us (me and bhaby)
The person who posted it on facebook already contacted bhaby and we are looking forward to see the baby in person

We wish to see her in person, soon as the weather's fine.
It's still raining here and one of my friend who lives in Marikina just texted me that they're planning to settle at any evacuation any moment from now.
She said it's better to be ready than regret.
They started to secure their things so they can leave their home soon.

as many have said, this is definitely a miracle. how high are the chances that one would be able to get help immediately while online and that too from an online friend, i't's quite hard, even if an online friend is able to help, it might be a matter of time.
but in this case, it all happened so fast within a matter of hours and a beautiful baby was born. it really gives a sense of wonder to those who read it. i was amazed by how lucky and fortunate the parents are in that situation to be able to receive help. i'm sure that they're really grateful, in fact words can't describe the feelings. even i myself am amazed and can't imagine the gratitude the parents must feel.
i guess that although many discourage late night usage of computers, but when we hear of situations like these, at times, it kind of feels worth it. hehehe

it seems to be fate for you to have written that article and then, find out that you turn out to be one as well. you might not consider yourself one but i'm sure that those who read and hear about this story will think you are one.
you definitely are lucky that you have power. i have encountered the situation where we have no electricity as well and it sucks big time. your last sentence is great and i agree. good day.

hello sminut,
Honestly, I have written an article about "everyone can be hero at the right time"
but never occurred in my mind that it might/could happen to me (and that fast)
No, I don't consider myself a hero but I am proud and grateful to be a part of such a blessings.
Yes, that was too fast.
The moment the other mylotter read it from her page she called me.
Fortunately I need to be online for updates since 80 percent in our area(metro cities) and nearby provinces have no electric power (i'm lucky)
When she relay the message I immediately give her two contact numbers of our 24/7 rescuers posted in different areas -I asked her to contact them since she knows the details more than I do (time is running and this is a real emergency case)
I salute our rescue team for the very quick response
Perfect timing at the right time-makes the rescue a great success

I really do believe that this is one of the reasons that having access to the internet is something that is so beautiful these days. There is always someone online that can communicate with you through the difficult times that you are facing.
I do think that the name Myla is beautiful and I can't help but wonder if that was the name that the parents were planning to give to their daughter before being helped out by mylot members.

hello dora,
We're very thankful that mylot keep us awake (me and the other mylotter) till late.
and on the other hand, inspite of the heavy rainfalls and flood in some area, there's still electric power and internet connection in my area.
The place where the pregnant woman's family are asking for help is in zero visibility by that time.
That's one reason why other rescue teams using rubber boats can't reach them due to darkness and strong current.
I am also glad that our rescue team immediately contacted Red Cross and they're able to use the amphibian vehicle and also send a nurse for assistance.
Regarding baby's name we don't have any information but we are looking forward to meet them in person once the weather condition becomes fine.
The roads at their place are still impassable up to this moment.
Thanks for the response and have a great day

Now that is one awesome story I have to say. The power of the internet and the power of MyLot made it possible for that woman to get to the hospital and have her baby. I love technology and these are the reasons why. Congrats on getting her help and naming the baby. I think the name is cute and fitting since she is a new born MyLot baby. I saw the picture and she is a beautiful baby girl.

hello inertia,
I consider the baby "mylot baby" because the other mylotter who contacted me knows that she can reached or find me here in mylot.
I am not a facebook addict or I don't stay in any social site aside from mylot.
So she knows where to find me here on the net.
Besides, that moment she relay the message to me I was indeed mylotting.
I gave her our rescue team contact numbers so she can relay all proper information since she's the one who read the message from facebook.
I also checked the link from facebook and read in there that the family is asking for help and contacted rescue team around their area for many hours already.
One rescue team responded and say's they've done their best to cross the high waters but the strong current pushes their rubber boats to the bottom.
So, the only way to reach them is by the use of amphibian vehicle.
I am thankful that our rescue team was able to reach Red Cross and immediately they send their amphibian vehicle and the rescue operation was a great success

This is way too weird!
I just became a grandmother on July 31st to a baby girl who was named MYLA! Yes, same name but myLot had nothing to do with it. I was actually thinking that if you add an "r" to the end of her name, she's a balloon (mylar). lol
But, how's that for coincidence?!?!? Two babies born on opposite sides of the world only 9 days apart and both named Myla! Wow!
Anyway, congratulations on becoming a Godmother and for the wonderful job you did in coming to the assistance of someone in need. That is an awesome title!
I'm attaching a photo of OUR baby Myla so she can join this other new baby Myla here in this discussion.
