When I was child I really mix milk to my rice especially if it's a cow's milk. But now I'm curious to it's taste. Have you tried this one? Is this healthy? :))

You're describing a rice pudding, that's rice cooked in milk? or were you adding milk to steamed or boiled rice? Rice pudding, either boiled or baked is a wintertime comfort food when served warm here as a pudding, and can also be enjoyed cold..I have yet to try milk added to regularly cooked rice,though..

Sounds more like champorado to me. I never tasted it but I think it's somewhat like oats mixed with milk.

hey you remind me my childhood, I was wondering looking at my neighbour while he was having breakfast. He ate rice+milk and seemed yummy. I went home and tried my own and I didn't like it, at all. I could't even swallow my 1st bite, taste so weird in my mouth.

Yes I tried it when I was young. My grandfather has a cow and always getting fresh milk every morning and give it to me. But my mother used to boil the milk first before mix it with our rice and put a little sugar or salt to make it more tasty. Also my mom used the fresh cow milk's to increase the taste and creaminess of her dishes and rice cakes.

Not me, but my brother and sister had. They said it's delicious; it's like sweet rice cakes or something. They usually do this whenever they don't like the food that mom cooked. We were still young kids then, and of course, you know how kids would react to a bowl of pinakbet and chopseuy.

I've tried that one when I was a kid, with a little sugar on it, now that I have kids, their granny sometimes gave this on them, and the tastes is still the same, but never enjoy it as much as i did before. :)

Yes, I've tried. It's yummy at first but as I eat a little more, it seems yucky to me. This meal provides calcium and carbs, that's all :)

Seems great. In my country I do not often eat rice, but I ate it today :P 2 times :D I haven't tried mixing milk and rice before, unless in a meal we call graut, or grøt on our other language. I don't really like that meal though.
