A pleasant day Fellow Mylotters, For the past weeks, the rain here in our country doesn't stopped at all. As a result, all areas become flooded and clogged. That not even those trucks can pass the road since the water was terribly high. However, despite of the bad situations happening, Filipino people still finds a way to be ingenious. As they still also finds a way to smile at least even for a while. And this is one good trait about Filipino people. Despite of everything, they still finds a way to smile even for a while.

I noticed that too. Last Tuesday, we left our house because the subdivision where we lived flooded. The flood was increasing until it was at waist's height. When me and my family rode the boat from our house and carried our things, the bangkeros and all of the people evacuating were still smiling and joking with one another. And even me and my mom laughed at their jokes too. I think there are still few good things happening no matter how bad it might seem, like being able to ride a boat. I'm fascinated with riding boats and balsas.

It's just that we're getting used to natural calamities here in the Philippines. And I must add the Filipinos are really strong, so whatever happens we just smile.

Filipinos are well know for that values and being a happy person even there's a calamity. It's a good trait of us. Some people from other Country might misunderstand those traits but mostly they are amazed. HAve a great day!

It's actually the best attitude that we Filipinos have....we tend to smile even during a catastrophe....we don't think of what our problems are....we just keep on smiling.

Hi, There's no reason crying in the rain, or flood for that matter. It worsens the situation, now another one is coming in and we need all the smile we can muster to drive away the gloomy days. In our place (Villanueva, Mis.Or.), we have no reason to smile under the sweltering heat of the sun, the ground is baked dry, the trees and plants are wilting and the streets are so hot to walk on. Our aircons are busting in their seams to drive away the heat, the fans heating up going on till morning. What a crazy weather!

hi, that is the one good and fabulous attitude or manner of a Filipino, that despite of the situation of their life in poverty and having problems in life they can still smile and laugh like a person without problems in life, and even me if i have problems in life i will just laugh and smile to forget them somehow.

I agree, as a Filipino despite of all the hardships that we've encountered so still carry to smile everyday. Knowing all the floods and rain, we should always smile because tomorrow might be a better day for us. Thank you for all those people who prayed for our country.

I agree as well. I think this is very common in us Filipnos that we are able to keep that smile in our faces despite what is happening around our place. But of course for the worst hit victims I sympathize with their losses as well. I think we should maintain this happy disposition for us to continue living in the midst of this crisis. I think that is the only positive thing we can do for our lives to go on as normally as we can.

We Filipinos are like that. Even at the worst situation we can still manage to smile. I have seen in TV while the reporter is rendering his report, those by-standers already soaked in flood waved their hands and smile at the camera. That's the spirit we have, as they said: "Filipino Spirit is Waterproof!". I absolutely believe that and we can make it through the this heavy rain and floods.

Filipinos are so used to hardship that our natural instinct is just to smile when something difficult comes our way, what else is there to do? It's better then frowning, grumbling, yelling or going amok

that is really heartening and good to hear, since they set a role model and a trademark of how to smile and be positive all terms inspite of bad situations is really awesome and its a must thing to do and this will really encourage the morale booster and keep them to be on right track

That is maybe the best values Filipinos have, we still manage to smile even in times of difficulties. We stay positive even in the brink of becoming a failure. I hope, we can recover fast to live our life as nothing happens. We continue to cooperate and help each other instead of mudslinging. Thanks
