Because the cutting of trees are very rampant, the earth is now experiencing flash-floods and it is uncontrollable and it happens everywhere. As I browse through the net I saw this picture of these guys using life jacket made of bottles and riding in a bottle boat, all recycled. Man are naturally gifted with knowledge, and I just hope that we all learn how to recycle plastics to at least prevent the destruction of our nature.

Recycling is something that is very important because if we don't recycle, then we will exhaust all of the resources that we have available on the earth. Now, we are lucky where I live because we haven't experienced the kind of flooding that you've experienced in your neck of the woods, but I do see that there are a lot of people that have a lot of great innovations that they can do when it comes to repurposing items that they have available to them.

A lady I know who was teaching at a private school once made a raft out of gallon plastic jugs. I am sure it would be lightweight and it would last a while. Eventually they deteriorate, though. I recycle as much plastic as I can.
