Men, do you know it's hair extensions

I have long and healthy hair. But, it is just easier to wear hair extensions. I wear beautiful 100% human, Indian hair. I can wake up in the morning and not even have to comb it. The ease and convience of wearing hair extentions is wonderful. As long as I have a great hair stylist to put it in, it looks like my own hair. But, do people always know when someone is wearing a hair piece, closure, extensions or a weave? Sometimes my weave is 23 inchs long and I still get compliments on the street about how beautiful they think MY hair is. Does it matter if someone (men/women) wear hair pieces or extensions/weaves as long as it looks good?

My hair - Back view of my hair extensions
I am so happy you started this discussion. No one should be ashamed to wear hair extensions. Hair extensions are a fashion statement as well as a necessity for many women today. Cancer survivors, alopecia sufferers, and women who have other problems with thinning hair no longer have to cover their head with hats or scarves. Glamour is there for everyone. Although it is sometimes difficult to find quality hair and a top notch hair stylist to do the job so that it looks real. Perhaps in another discussion, we can talk about how to find hair that doesn’t tangle and mat and also how to take care of it. I have lots of hair, but I love the convenience of extensions. My husband does not mind at all. He likes the look of extensions.

I like the virgin,Indian, remy hair. Indian women have the most beautiful hair in the world. Their hair textures seem to work with all ethnicities. They are primarily Hindu and donate their hair to the temple as a way of humbling themselves. They can then concentrate on their inner spirit. The money that comes back to the temple from the sale of the hair goes to the schools and hospitals in India. I have the highest regard for the people of India, so someone please correct me if I am wrong on this. I do not want to disrespect anyone. I feel like I am really doing something good at the same time I am looking good.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing hair extensions at all. I have never looked into them are they real exspensive to get? And do they last for awhile? Thanks.

thanks for your?. The cost depends on what you buy ( 100% human hair, animal hair, syntheic fiber or mixed hair) ( animal and syntheic) and how you apply the hair. For example a man's cover piece can range from appx. 50.00 up to 200.00. He/she may have it sewn in, glued on or applied just like a wig. You can buy a wig already made or a person can buy the hair and have it customized to fit their head and their particular problem. maybe they have issues with alopecia or like starbright said, "they have other concerns their dealing with like going thru cancer treatments." A woman may just want to buy a wig made from synthecic fiber. I prefer, 100% human, remy, Indian Hair. Which can cost up to 200.00 to 600.00, for a full head weave. BUT, the hair, that I bought has lasted for 5 years. The weave I get, can last up to 3 months. I have my hair braided and the hair dresser sews the hair onto the braids. A good hair dresser will actually braid my hair under the weave very carefully, so not to damage my real hair. I don't have to go to the hair dressers for 2 to 3 months. I save about 60.00 to 90.00 every 2 weeks. That amounts to appx. 480.00 every 3 months. I always look like i just came from the hair dressers with my weave. at least my hair looks great. Some people have the hair glued in. The hair dresser takes a strand of the person's actual hair, a very, very small strand and a very small strand of weaving hair, they glue that piece of weaving hair to the person's real hair and they continue to do as much of the person's head as they want done. I understand this process can take hours depending upon how much hair they want done. I also understand that the cost for this process called fusion, is appx.300.00 to 2,000. Depending upon how much of their head they want done. But, it looks so real and can add glamour or for some just hair where there was none. I've been wearing weaves for about 10 years. men and women wear hair extensions, but there is nothing wrong with wearing natural or blad. I think it's all a matter of choice. would you ever try wearing extensions?

I wear extensions sometimes, so I have some kind of radar for noticing if other women are wearing them. I would guess that the average man won't notice, though, unless they're poorly done. Where do you buy your extensions? I have trouble sometimes finding really high quality. Some of the lower quality ones tangle like crazy!

yeah tell me about it. its because the cuticle flows in different directions so the hair interlocks after the silicon layer the wholesalers coat it with to keep it shiny wears off. Any hair under £30 is generally that rubbish no matter what the seller calls it! They pretend like it is A grade hair and its SO not. What you need to look out for is CUTICLE CORRECT hair that will last longer and the best hair is VIRGIN hair that has not been altered in any way and is totally natural, cut from a healthy head of hair! Good luck :)

Well...there is a difference. As long as you have a great stylist and high quality extensions it`s OK.But I have a bad expirience with hair extensons. When I took my off it took my hair 4 months to begin to grow again.Main were 100% human but they still caused mey hair lots of damage. But if your hair is strong enaught I think that wearing extesions is not a problem at all...as long as you look good of cource. Note:By this moment I`m wearing only 1 tiny extension witch is very dark blue(almost black) and it`s like a hidden surprise under my hair. *SORRY FOR MY EN!*
