What movie character would you play?

We've all been there, in a local theater, in front of our computers or couched out in front of the tube, munching pop corn and talking back as if the person on the screen can follow directions. We of course are watching a movie, not just any movie, one we have been dying to see. Do you ever think the characters played by the actors are well, ok, but you think you could do a better job? Could you have been a better Forest Gump, Butch Cassidy or Delores Claiborne? Given the chance what character would you play?

It had never crossed my mind that I would become a good actor. However when I see your post I thought that some people have always been wanting to be an actor and perhaps that is why you are thinking that you can do better than the real actor can. Having this kind of thought is great, I really do think that by being confident with yourself it means deep down you knew that you already have the talent in acting. Perhaps you are just waiting for the right time to flourish your talent and make it known to the public.
I wish you good luck in whatever you do. I hope you will become an actor one day. In the meantime, have fun!

Never really gave it much thought.
I was in plays in school and never thought I would get a good part so always tried out for the smallest parts. I always got picked for the part I wanted. never thought I was good enough to try for better.
I was in high school musicals and plays for drama.
As far as thinking I could act any better than actors in a part in a movie, never thought about that either.
But I can tell you that every time I watch Vivien Leigh who played Scarlett in Gone with the Wind, she has always had my heart for such an excellent performance.
if you don't know the movie, all the actresses in 1937 to 39 that tried out must have been missing something that the director was looking for in his Scarlett. He did not find her until 1939.
While its a very old movie, it ran for months in theaters. And it was the first time anyone ever had said a curse word.
Which we have to give honor to Rhett Butler for that one and the actor was Clark Gable.
It is fun to find out the history of various past movies. Then you realize no one could have taken their place.

Don't know the movie? It's my favorite movie of all time!!! I know all this is to know about Gone With the Wind!
Vivien Leigh was brilliant and beautiful as well. Olivia DeHavilland another talent and beauty. Ohh I could go on and on.
I have also read the book, and have a 2nd edition run. I also have the book Scarlet and have seen the movie. Did not come any where near close to the magnificence of Gone With the Wind!

I am quite honored to have been given best response.
I think all the actors and actresses were sensational.
did you know that most of the men laid out in Atlanta on the street hurt were actually dummies? the few men that were real had strings attached to them to make the dummies move.
I have read both Gone with the wind and scarlett.
in the bookGone with the Wind Scarlett had a child with her first husband Melanies brother.
I have the DVD collection of Gone with the Wind
I had the Scarlett on VHS, but I am going to order it in on DVD.
While Scarlett was a little different, the first time I saw it I was not impressed.
However as I watched it over Joanne Whalley actually gave a very good fiery impression of her own version of Scarlett.
I actually fell in love with her style and acting as well.
I probably admire both Scarlett actresses, because I was just as bold and fierceful myself at that age. I went in the Army the day after I turned 18. So there was quite a bit of spunk in me as well LOL
Now after these two movies, my next favorite is Somewhere in Time with Jane Seymour

I am not a good actor nor I could pull something what the great actors do.
I would love to do the part of Neo (Keanu Reeves) in The Matrix, but I could never do what Keanu Reeves did but it's worth a try if I get a chance ....
