I remember when I am in my teenage years my mom told me how she wish her growing up children are still babies, where she can take care and will be contented in staying at home. She said she don't want growing up problems - such as working hard for education of the children - but despite of this my parents supported our education - we had a very simple life then. Now we are very grateful for their patience and simpleness in life because it made us strong to face the reality that life is like a wheel sometimes your down and sometimes your up.

Hello marika, greetings. I share the same sentimentality with your mother. There are times when I tell my two sons, "I wish you are still babies". You know why marika, small children gives abundant joy to parents as compared to wayward growing up boys. Of course, that is only "sentimental" feelings. After all, whose parents who does not want their children to grow and be matured.

I don't know about other people but I could not wait for them to grow up! I had 4 and was working as well it was a very hard time! I did love them and spent a lot of time together...but I could not wait for them to grow up and be independent! I Am happy how they turn up they all have careers and are fiercely independents!

I think that the urge to have children is something that is biological because you like to be able to care for somebody. When your children are young then it is easy to satisfy these urges, but then as you get older it can become more difficult. When your children look after themselves, it can be hard to adjust, and it can make you wish that your children were young again. It is a strange time between having children and them having their own children where everyone has to readjust from the changes that have happened in their life.

Parents do complain sometimes how difficult it is to raise children. But those are just words of a weary hard working parent. They love their children and would do everything to see them through success. They would willingly sacrifice their own happiness and comforts in life just to see their kids happy and well fed.
Thank you to all the parents in the world.
