Hey there everyone! May I ask which food combinations would provide the best source of protein? Thanks! :D

Are you looking for vegetarian solutions? Beans combined with rice are a great source of protein for vegetarian. Quinoa is a great source of protein. Tofu and soy products, nuts, seitan, soy and soy products and tempeh to name a few.

Lean meat is the best source of protein. However, there are also other source like beans especially soybeans. Also, you must not only consider the protein source but also as the amino acids source. Aminal blood has high level of amino acids therefore increases the protein content of it. I woked as a chemist and analyzed animal bloods and found to contain high amount of protein. I bet, you will not eat blood as your primary source of protein. lol

High protein foods are: Lean meat Pulses (beans, peas and lentils) Nuts Cheese Eggs Grains (especially wheat and barley) If you want to avoid meat then a combination of pulses and high protein grain is best because that contains nearly all the types of protein which the body needs.

Lobster has 26.41g of protein. Other foods are almonds, crabmeat, orange roughy fish, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds, sardines, soya beans and venison. with the exception of crabmeat (18.1g) they all have more than 20g of protein, with soya beans having the highest (of this list) at 35.9g. I found this on the internet a while back. I saved it because I was looking for protein rich foods. If I remember right the list was a lot longer. These were the only ones I was interested in. Don't remember what site it was.

There are many good sources of protein: Eggs, low fat cheese, soy, tufu, beans, lean meat, turkey, chicken are the ones that come to my mind. Protein builds muscle and comes in a variety of foods so you should have no problem in finding foods that you like that contain protein. Happy eating!
