Bring back my favorite show

We all have a favorite show that was cancelled for one reason or another. A show that no matter what we had going on at the time, we made it a point to be home and ready to watch. If your my age it was before the streamlining, Netflix or your dvr box. If you missed it, you either had to wait for a rerun or hoped you knew someone else who had watched it, so you could keep up. Then season after season of dedication sometimes without any notice. Pow cancelled, to live forever in the television graveyard. Maybe you would be lucky and it would end up in syndication in a few years, reruns yes, but at least you could see it again. What show would you like to see come back on tv?

Doll house for sure! The show was canceled after two seasons. I really liked the premise and the star of the show really was the right woman for the job. It's quite sad that most sci-fi tv series lose their viewers quickly.

I love the sitcoms from the 50's 60's and 70's and some from the 80's.. Not a single one one these days currently that is worth wasting my time watchinga s they are all so stupid and secual related. Bunch of idiots acting stupid. No storyline, no lesson learned, just stupidity.

i loved the captain planet show for sure.but i also was not able to predict why it got off air and even if you see in local channels.several shows got off, that might be because of poor marketing,i hope it comes back again soon

Legend of the Seeker please? Mostly just because I like the setting nothing more :)
But as long as Bones exist, everything is right in my TV world.

Well, I might be the oldest poster based on your replies, as the show I miss the most is Perry Mason. Most of the actors passed away years ago and the show started in the 1950's. I did laugh reading about The Partridge Family and did like seeing that cast.
Shows can return and be quite successful just look how well Hawaii 5 0 has done and Dallas. If Falcon Crest came back I would watch, but finding somebody to play the children of that cast would be interesting. I miss Jane Wyman, who passed away years ago. It would be great to see Susan Sullivan again.

I can't really seem to pick just one show... There are so many 80's tv shows that I'd love to see brought back... Night Court, Miami Vice, Alf, Family Ties, Knight Rider, 21 Jump Street & few other show... Then there are few shows that started in late 80's into 90's... Star Trek TNG is one of them... I grew up watching these shows & even as young adult, I loved every one of these shows...

I was certainly glad to see alot of the old shows come back on due to stations like Tvland and such. I am a big vamp fan and there was a show on for awhile called Moonlight that was about a vampire private investigator that was really good. I wrote a blog about it for awhile and wrote letters and got others to write letters to the station but nothing helped. I would really enjoy seeing it come back.

A couple of years ago, I saw this sci-fi remake called 'V' on NBC if i'm not mistaken. They made the first season and it ended off with a cliffhanger. Unfortunately, I think they discontinued the show because according to NBC, there were not enough people watching it.
Oh well, watching the re-runs are always enough for me.

I think I'm from the same era. I still don't do anything about a missed show except maybe pout. Actually these days there's so little on that I make an effort to watch now anyway.
You know oddly, The Addams Family is rarely rerun. I saw it last year on one of our local stations and I actually tried to see it the following weeks. It wasn't hard it was Sunday morning. I like Seinfeld but I don't think there's any time when it's NOT on. I shouldn't admit this but when it was on, I was just 11 or 12 so bear with me, I loved The Partridge Family and swooned over David Cassidy. Never see that rerun and I'm sure most people are glad of that.

One of my all time favorite shows was JAG. I loved the interaction between Harm and Sara and Bud and Harriett. Watching JAG was like peeking inside a neighbors window, trying to solve their issues and pushing them in the right direction.
I was sorry to see the show come to an end. I loved the story lines, the characters and the larger than life sets.
Every so often I see a re run and it transforms me for an hour of quality entertainment.
